CARMILLA MOVIE STARTS FILMING ON MAY 29!!!

(and here I thought it’d slip under the radar like the DGC hotlist that’s been out there for awhile!) 

It also says the end date is June 15th - that's more than they had for all seasons combined 👀

i think the real question about the carmilla movie is when will nat break a chair on set?

Okay, guys, I didn’t want to do this, but if you have a spare AU$5 or US$4, I would much appreciate if you’d donate to this independent film festival. 

1.Australia has a small film industry, and not a lot of indie film festivals around. For 20 years, this film festival has set the highest line on always choosing movies that uphold social justice values, feminism, and LGBT+ support.   

2. There’s various FREE workshops and masterclasses available for budding filmmakers, whether you want to be a writer or producer or whatever it is, if you want to be in the film industry, you’ll have the chance to learn from international film industry-acclaimed identities. 

3. We hold an academic conference each year in the festival, where we invite people to present new research that will move the film industry, and film world, to a better place in the future. 

4. We’re not only focused on films, but artists and musicians as well. From galleries, to live music, we invite you to promote your art and music to hundreds of thousands of people.  

5. The main mission for the past 20 years have always been, we want to make a difference in the film industry. We support new creative ideas, to allow them a platform and space to tell stories that otherwise wouldn’t be heard or seen anywhere else. From short films, to web films, to feature films. 

We need extra money to hold more events this year, and to boost an otherwise dying industry of film for indie filmmakers and budding filmmakers in Australia.
