"I know, I can’t help but worry." She rubbed the back of her head.

"I understand Skye - if it were Coulson in the same position. I would be as worried as you are."

"We're supposed to be a team, but we let him off on his own. One of us should have gone with him." She knew why she was so worried, but she didn't want May to know the truth "I think we would all worry if it was Coulson."

"Hey May, can I ask  you something?"

"Sure - what is it?"

"Is it weird that I’m worried about Ward? I mean, he just had to deliver his SO to the Icebox and…I don’t know. I sound ridiculous." She let out a hesitant and forced laugh.

"He’s part of our team, and your SO - it’s not weird. But’s he’s a big boy - he can handle himself." she replied, crossing her arms.

"I know, I can't help but worry." She rubbed the back of her head.

"I didn’t know, okay? Sorry." An awkward silence immediately fell over them, the agent even clearing her throat after a moment or so. "Is this place usually this slow?"

"Nobody knows… You’re the first person I told." She said, looking away. She breathed a sigh "Slow how?"

She let herself smile at that, but only for a second; not at the fact that Skye had insomnia — of course not — but at the fact that the hacker confided in her; Grace didn’t know if she could return the gesture, though. Deciding not to comment on what Skye had said first, she replied to the question posed. “Food. I’m hungry.”

"I'll go find out what's going on." She said, getting up from the table. She spoke to the person working for a moment and they apologized and gave her the food, plus an extra bag of chips.

"An hour of sleep? You know, even hackers need more than that." Ward softly scolded her, brown orbs finally settling on her once more and staying there.

"I don’t need a lecture, Ward." She said "I have insomnia, it’s not something I can fix. I’ve tried everything."

"So, did you end up sleeping at all last night after eating my food?" Grace decided to make small talk, looking at the hacker for a few seconds before letting her brown hues wander elsewhere.

"I slept a bit, I mean.. It’s not like I choose to be unable to sleep most nights. I had about an hour of sleep." She shifted uncomfortably under Ward’s gaze.

Grace took note of the change in the hacker’s tone, though she said nothing. Finding them a booth to sit at, the specialist waited for Skye to join her, tapping her fingers on the table lightly.

Skye slid into the booth across from her SO, placing her head on her hands. She sighed softly and waited for the other to speak.

Grace immediately noticed the hacker’s lack of ordering food. “I see you’re not getting anything to eat. Guess stealing my food wasn’t such a great deal after all, was it?” Her voice was full of sarcasm as she spoke, the agent eyeing Skye closely.

"Yeah.." She said, her voice suddenly much softer. She slipped her hands into her pockets and went to go pay.

"I’ll get that, then." Ward replied quickly, stepping up to the counter and ordering herself exactly what Skye had said was good. Looking back at the hacker, Grace waited for her to order now.

Skye walked over and ordered herself a water. She wasn’t hungry, in fact, it was the opposite, she felt sick to her stomach. She hated not being able to do what she loved and she felt bad for lying to the team that it made her want to be physically sick, especially since they didn’t trust her anymore.

She followed Skye in as soon as the hacker had passed over the threshold, nodding so that the other woman knew she’d heard her. “What’s good to get here? Do you know?” It didn’t hurt to ask questions, right?

"Their Ham and Cheese panini is good." Skye said "That’s all I usually get."
