Bookworm / Gamedev / I like drawing and playing music. Currently learning both the violin and the piano, so expect a lot of classical music rambling.

You completely missed the point of that comic. Read it again. Then read it again. It went right over your head.

Hi anon! Does being condescending usually work for you? I find it puts people off but then again it might be just me. Anyway I’m just going to reply to this assuming you’re actually interested in this topic.

Having power in society isn’t a ~feeling~ and doesn’t depend on how you ~feel about your body~ and buying frilly sexy lingerie gives you 0 power as a woman. It’s super funny that liberals think buying sexy feminine stuff like men have always told us to do is in some way feminist. It’s not.

You feel good wearing that shit because you’re conditioned to wear that and feel like that’s what makes a woman, you must be sexy and confident in your sexuality (notice that it’s always in a way that appeals to men), and any opinion that goest a little more along the lines of “I hate feminine clothing and makeup” is considered deviant and must be educated.

Honestly, if you feel good wearing all that that’s your prerogative, but don’t push it on other women and for god’s sake don’t try to make it “feminist”. It never was and never will be. Feeling confident =/ empowerment.

One time Henry VIII had a book when he was little and he wrote in really massive writing on the first page “this boke is myne” and I just find it so funny because that’s such a child Henry VIII thing to do

I think they realized that trans theory makes no fucking sense, because woman =/= female but trans women are female but cis women are also female so what’s the difference between the two, why is one trans in the first place, and gender identity is innate and based on stereotypes like pink and submissiveness but also that’s sexist, gender =/= gender stereotypes, it’s based on some ~magical woman feeling~ but transition always somehow includes wearing high heels and getting dolled up, but trans women are “more woman” than cis women because they chose to be women, which means it’s not innate, but most trans people know they’re trans because they were drawn to the opposite gender role, but being transgender is smashing the gender binary, but also genderfluid people wear dresses on the days when they’re girls and pants on the days when they’re boys, but gender isn’t a binary it’s a spectrum,

so they literally just gave up and said “woman has no definition”

lol i wonder why this type of scrutiny never happens to the definition of “man”

Deer Creek Canyon, Colorado, February ‘16

Notes from the trail:

I go to the mountain and my every step becomes a prayer to the trees, to the river, to the slow death of winter. With every raven that flies over me I spread my arms like wings.

what would you think of a woman who addressed a club meeting of men by telling them how charming, how well gowned, how pretty, they were?

This is why I really like books that are set in oldey times with people who have views like this, and why it annoys me when people say but that’s not historically accurate

tbh, half the time ‘not historically accurate’ is code for ‘i wish things were still like my imaginary version of 19th century England only minus the cholera’

This just makes me absurdly happy, especially because it’s written by a man calling out other men for this shit.
