“Ah, Perry the platypus!”

“What an unexpected -“

“WAIT, WAIT, WAIT!”

“You’re trapped!”

“By societal convention!”

“Look! We’re in a fine dining environment. Everyone knows not to throw a scene in a fancy restaurant!”

“That’s right. You’re trapped. Sit down.”

This show is fucking brilliant.

did everyone else read that in his voice

“I never meant to hurt you”

Okay, I understand that, but you did hurt someone. Just because you never intended to doesn’t magically make the hurt go away. Acknowledge that your actions can affect people negatively regardless of your intentions. Acknowledge their pain and apologize. Don’t start getting defensive or dismissive. Take it as a learning opportunity not a personal attack. Listen. Reflect. Grow the fuck up. Lmao

PSA

First offense: “I never meant to hurt you.”

Second offense: “I never meant-“

No. You didn’t mean to get caught. You didn’t learn. You didn’t make an effort to improve.

Goodbye.

Don’t let emotional attachment and/or the length of time spent in the relationship excuse shitty behavior. If someone repeatedly does things that they know will hurt you, you are a convenient option for them.

This was a lesson I had to learn. If they don’t respect you enough to take ownership of their actions then they need to be kept at a distance.

Dr. Willie Parker, who is trained as a gynecologist and OBGYN, is a hero for the pro-choice movement because he’s honest about the undiscussed aspects of getting (or not getting) an abortion. Watch how he gives a consultation.

That last statement about regret is so important, because so many people don’t understand what it is or what causes it. Anti-choicers exploit this by manipulating pregnant people and creating doubt, which only increases the likelihood of regret, no matter what decision the pregnant person makes. You know what is best for you, even if it takes some time to figure it out.

Willie Parker is a HERO among common people!

Dr. Parker is one of the few things I like about Alabama and we are so fortunate to have him here.

I think this is a great example of how well Erik manages to control the context of whatever scene he’s in. The first time he turns up in the palace, T’Challa tries to shut down his challenge to the throne by referring to him as an American chaos operative, but Erik turns it around on him by announcing his Wakandan name and heritage in xhosa, recontextualizing himself as a rightful Wakandan challenger.

Here T’Challa is taking him at his word, addressing him as a fellow Wakandan royal whom he can legitimately challenge for the throne, and Erik turns it around on him again  by responding and identifying as an American chaos operative, who feels no obligation to respect Wakandan traditions.

i love how you guys talk shit about cartoon style and animation but what the fuck is with this phineas and ferb obsession, The Ugliest Childrens Show Ever Animated.

Fun fact: In one interview the creators mentioned that one reason everyone’s heads are shaped like really recognizable shapes (Candace is the letter p, Phineas is obviously just a triangle) is so its way easier for younger kids to draw them. Not being able to to draw your favorite characters when you’re little can be really frustrating and kind of put you off drawing all together.

As someone who has dealt with depression for years, I can confirm this is incredibly good advice.

just so you know, daniel harmon is an autistic writer, producer, and voice actor. it’s incredibly important that we don’t erase autistic creators; all of this is also important, but erasure is a huge problem and it’s so so vital for autistic kids to see (mentally ill and multifaceted) autistic adult creators and know that’s what they can grow up to be.

This is truly great advice
