As a woman of colour having one of the most important people in my life not only recognize that the treatment of woman in the United States right now is appalling, but ALSO awknowledge the systematic racism in the country brings me to tears. My heart is SOARING right now knowing that you care about ME. You care about all my friends and family directly affected by the wrongdoings of American politics right now and you want to put an end to by using your voice and the power you have as a citizen. Hi Taylor! On August 3rd ill be taking my little sister and her friend (not pictured) to see you for the 1st time! All 3 of us are travelling from Montreal, Quebec which is a about a 7 hour drive. It’ll be my 4th time seeing you and I am so excited to show them the ropes and give them the full Taylor Swift concert experience, costumes and all. You have been a constant in my life ever since i was 11 years old and I can’t imagine life without your music and your light in it. You have been with my through every low i have ever encountered and every high. When i was 16 i experienced the worst year of my life, i was dealing with anxiety and constant sadness and that drove away those closest to me, with no one to help me through it I turned to you. That was the same year RED came out and it was exactly what I needed in my life at the time. Your music was my therapy and got me through it all. Without you I wouldn’t be the person that I am today. I am so excited that my little sister loves you the same way I do, we’re 12 years apart but when we listen to your music that’s all forgotten and your light and positivity takes over.
