One thing I really love about seedy anime websites and YouTube mp3 converters is like. They actually do what they say they’re doing. But they WILL try to trick you into downloading a virus. Like it’s almost just a greeting at this point. I try to extract a song from a YouTube video and it says free VPN installer tonight perhaps? Free VPN installer tonight queen? And I say YouTube-mp3 converter you sly dog, you know what I’m here for. Show me the goods. And YouTube-mp3 converter says ahhh you got me, no getting one over on you. Thought it was worth a try tho. The Good Place (2016-2020)

The Good Place’s take on morality is so important to me. It never suggests that being good is easy or straightforward - quite the opposite - but it says, over and over again, that we need to try because we’re all people and we all matter.
And also that trying to do the right thing and failing is still a good thing. Attempting to be a good person as a conscious decision and not always succeeding is still the objectively correct choice.
It’s hard be born and raised in bastardry and not become a bastard yourself. It’s hard to not take the easy path. But you’ve gotta try.
