#cooking in confined #quarters (at New York, New York)
Hey, I bought your "I Can't Figure Out What Tree Is In My Backyard" zine from The Beguiling in Toronto, and I really enjoyed it :)
Oh gosh thanks ~ 😳
Wisteria. Acrylic on wood. 24" x 24". 2014.

Opens November 14th, closes November 21st.
You can also purchase this and any other works from the show online, HERE.
Hello! This Saturday I'll be at Locust Moon Festival in Philadelphia. I made this book to sell there, but it's only the beginning of a longer story about practicing magicians in present day NYC. It's 16 pages long and all printed with 2 colors on a riso (by Kris Mukai, thanks!). I hand bound them with thread to make them feel more tome-y. It is a limited edition of 30 and it's only 8 dollars--

The original drawing for this is quite small! I like this process, but it was pretty time consuming to use pencil for everything. I want to just draw fashion ads or something. With corpses in 'em.
We Die For Truth
12 x 12 sumi ink & colored pencil
An album cover for Sleep Maps, who I adore. I also implemented this on Sleep Maps' Bandcamp, where you can also do some headbangin': https://sleepmaps1.bandcamp.com/album/we-die-for-truth
"Such a cute yellow backpack!"
11x14. Ballpoint pen & colored pencil.

One of the things I’m really digging about this zine is the different ways Gomez is being depicted. He’s excited and curious and happy (and one instance of “creepy” according to Renaud)! Hunter Heckroth shows a sort of contemplative Gomez; he’s in this wide world of new things, and taking a moment’s rest. (oh and Hunter - the leaves on this are ridiculously awesome!)
Two more contributors to go, and then my pop-up on Friday!
Oh hey it's the thing I did for Kevin's awesome Fezzine!
Soon the trees will be alive again and drawing them will be less depressing, right?
Got a new Baron Fig sketchbook. Paper is a little too thin for wet ink IMO, but it handles ballpoint pen marvelously. Doodled some FFIX fanart on a bus ride to philly whilst eavesdropping on the people behind me.

Hey Hunter! It was great to meet you at Locust Moon, I'm glad I got to give you a comic. Hopefully you had as much fun as I did! -Nick
Yeah dude! Super great meeting you. Keep in touch!
