Eeyore is just one of those characters that you wanna scoop up and hug forever.

One awesome thing about Eeyore is that even though he is basically clinically depressed, he still gets invited to participate in adventures and shenanigans with all of his friends. And they never expect him to pretend to feel happy, they just love him anyway, and they never leave him behind or ask him to change.

Another awesome fact about Eeyore: he is voiced by Optimus Prime.

Gay men in Russia are being rounded up and put into concentration camps.  I’m so beyond upset and I’m asking you to help spread this information in hopes that it will bring this disgustingly horrible situation more media attention and put additional pressure on Russia to investigate these camps and shut them down.

There is a petition to stop the persecution here and the Russian LGBT Network has a donation page here (it looks pretty legit to me and is associated with a Facebook page with 12,000+ followers, but if anyone can find more information confirming the validity of it that would be beyond appreciated.)

These men are all the way across the world but they’re part of my community and they need our help. They don’t have the same luxuries (basic human rights) that we do and they are in desperate need for us to help speak up for them.

This is different from what I normally post but it’s about a movement that is really close to my heart. I know a really cool dude running for mayor of NYC this year. His name is Bob Gangi. He is an activist who’s devoted his whole life to social justice.  

One of the main things that keep us from making real progress is that politicians are too scared to talk about ideas that will keep them from being re-elected. Bob is different because his campaign will create concrete solutions to issues in areas such as police reform, public education, affordable housing, LGBTQ+ populations, and disability rights. 

The current mayor, Bill de Blasio, promised progressive reform when he first ran but ended up not doing anything actually worthwhile. The people who are criminalized are overwhelmingly poor people of color. Bob Gangi plans to bring these issues into the light because other politicians won’t. 

 Some of his ideas are: 

The campaign just learned that they have to raise a certain amount of money to qualify for participation in the official mayoral candidates’ debates. Participation in such an event is important for success in the September primary so PLEASE donate to this incredible ground breaking campaign if you can.

I can’t stress how lit this guy Bob Gangi is. If you live in New York City: sign up to volunteer!

Because this is a purely grassroots people’s campaign, fundraising is imperative and difficult to come by. So again if you can, please donate to this amazing and important campaign.

Ok lemme hitchu with some knowledge! So back in the 70’s there was obviously the Black Panthers but there was also the little known Pink Panthers. They were a group of primarily homosexual black men who would drive around in vans and tear up, roll out of the van and beat up known homophobes, and then drive off. You think this would be stopped super quickly right? In fact they had the perfect cover. You see back then getting beat up by a gay guy was SUPER embarrassing so none of the homophobes would ever report the crimes because they were afraid of being ostracized for, “letting” gay men beat them up. It was the perfect plan and I support this entirely.
