Hug your fur babies extra tight for me and @johntreanorart We had to let our first fur baby go over the rainbow bridge. Sweetie was named after A Dr. Who nickname for the doctor and his wife. We adopted her from CatDepot when I first started working at RCAD back in 2015. We adopted her knowing she was “older”. She was saved from a hoarding situation and their best guess/gotcha date was July 1, 2009. My dads birthday was July 1 and he died in 2009 so me being me, this was a HUGE deal. She was our old lady who regularly took care of us. She got really sick the first time in 2017 or 18, but bounced back. We knew we were on borrowed time and loved every moment we could. Unfortunately, she was too sick and we were looking at hyperthyroid, fluid in the lungs and limbs, and potentially cancer/heart issues. We were told weeks. We knew this would happen sooner because of her age and history, but she was my and Johns first fur-baby and our first rainbow bridge crossing together. Coming home was the worst. Play with the real butterflies, see again with both eyes, roll and play with others, and let my and Johns animal loving grandmothers take care of you now. There aren’t enough words. It felt like a dream come true from start to finish and I cannot believe I got to marry the man of my dreams, twice 💚❤️ Thank you so much to everyone who came, and some special thanks to my sanity crew, my design on the fly team, the artist who saw the designs and the scientists who helped implement them, huge on-the-fly thanks to our flower man/ring bearer/stand in altar server/groomsman, my crazy family; but an extra special thank you to the one who helped orchestrate the chaos, deal with me and all of my thoughts and ideas (but is always honest and tells me the blunt truth), the one who held all the decor for 2 years and then helped communicate with, find, and pay vendors. My sister didn’t mean to be an event planner but wow is she amazing at it. I cannot say enough about how amazing Irene is; she literally kept me sane.
