I might just be extremely in my thirties now but I simply cannot take any sort of fandom discourse anymore. I barely could before but I am at maximum capacity. just... just watch the thing and enjoy it or whatever, be nice to each other, isn't life hard enough

Hey you, yes you! Have you also been experiencing brain-rot trying to puzzle together what the heck will go down in season 3 episode 2 of Bridgerton?! - Then do I have a treat for you!

I have been trying to puzzle together a possible throughline for the ep based on the stills we have recieved - and if that is something you need as desperately as I do, do consider heading on over to A03 to read :) GO HERE: LINK

Summary:
“Hello?! Who’s there?” She sounded scared and it occurred to Colin that she had every right to. Seeing as he was, after all, an unknown intruder at present. “It’s me,” he hurried to say and then added quite unnecessarily: “Colin.” He rounded the hedges and there she stood, next to a bench, next to a pillar, looking aghast, her hair down and her eyes wide. Her dress was a pale minty, maybe even sagey green. It shimmered softly in the glow of the moonlight. And the neckline was as exquisite as he had imagined it would be. Colin forced himself to keep his eyes on hers. “What are you doing here?” She took a step towards him. “Did you climb over the wall?!” “You wouldn’t answer the door,” he explained dumbly. “And you weren’t at the ball. I was worried, I thought something bad had happened to you.” Pen let out a huff of air, more annoyed than he thought she strictly had a right to be – after all he was there out of pure concern for her safety. At least that’s what he told himself. *** Putting the puzzle pieces for season 3 episode 2 together.

A modern romance/light horror AU / Bridgerton (Haunting of Hill House Remix) on Ao3

Currently gauging interest in this, so if that sounds up your alley, catch a peak and tell me if you'd be along for the ride. <3

Summary:

Colin Bridgerton has no interest in stepping foot in his ancestral home estate ever again after having lost his father there more than a decade ago. But when life makes it necessary to return to the haunted corridors of Aubrey Hall, he can’t let his siblings and his friend Penelope go there alone. He knows has to protect them, even if he’s not exactly sure of what. The only thing he really is sure of, is that that house is evil. And that it has been waiting for them to come back.

Hey Ellie, thanks so much for the update of TOM! I loved it so much! Since you told in a comment that you always planned on finishing it, because you have been burned too in the past (and i have been burned for the first time pretty recently) I wondered: How do you cope with the sudden loss/abandonment of a beloved fanfic? I hope you have a great holiday season :)

Heyy! Sorry for only seeing this now! The messages don't really show up when I use tumblr on mobile!

To your question: I have been known to discontinue some fics and I always feel incredibly guilty but that's why I have a lot of sympathy for writers who can't finish a story. Because I know in my case it was never malicious, I just couldn't finish it for whatever reasons - life, lack of inspiration and often lack of planning/plotting. One case that broke my heart was the discontinuation of a Hunger Games fic that I absolutely loved but the writer said she was going through many personal struggles that I had a lot of sympathy for. So I accepted the open ending and just concluded it in my head, if that makes sense. And then make myself be content with what I got and being thankful for the story so far.

With TOM I was very mindful in the plotting stage, so I knew how I wanted to finish it very early on. That's how I was able to get back to it even after lulls, because I always knew where it was going and how many chapters I would need to write to bring it home. I'm not gonna lie, sometimes it felt like a bit of a chore but I also wanted to get to the finish line because I wanted to write that last chapter :D

Thank you again for your question and I hope you had a great start of the year!
