"—Let’s see what ya got!"
oh wow I've been so inactive lately. let's see if I can change that
You’re from Squad 11… how come I don’t see ya around much? We gotta change that. You look pretty damn strong.
Of course he wouldn't remember. Last time they interacted, Ichiro was a mere twelfth seat, barely worth mentioning.
"Ar' ya askin' me to drink with you or fight you? 'Cause I'm up fer both."
Don't mind us we're just spilling our guts If this is love I don't wanna be loved You pollute the room with a filthy tongue Watch me choke it down so I can throw it up.
You could be the corpse and I could be the killer If I could be the devil, you could be the sinner You could be the drugs and I could be the dealer Everything you say is like music to my ears

Standing over a body
There was no sign of blood, as far as he could see. But he understood what he was seeing the moment he walked in, gaze falling on her frame. Pale. So pale. And most likely shaking but his eyes didn’t linger long enough on her to find out, shifting instead on the mess around her. Even if she was shaking, crying, shitting her pants, what could he do? Offer sympathy? Comfort?
They had no time for that. She’ll learn how to push it down; how to process it later. Much later, when they take care of the mess.
“‘M just gonna ask one thing, shrimp. Did ya know him?”
┼ pffff
21. Packing their bags
Keiko no longer felt the need to knock when it came to visiting Ichiro in Eleventh. They had gotten to that stage in their relationship, hadn’t they? It’s not like she would be interrupting anything important anyway.Stepping into his quarters, her eyes narrowed, brows furrowed at the scene spread out before her. His belongings and clothes scattered around the room, parts of the room emptier than others and a bag or two on his bed open with many items stuffed in. Now she was concerned. Her chest felt tight, hot… and then she felt it sink. Was it anger she felt or disappointment? Or both?"Are you going somewhere…?" She asked the room, still taking in the scene. Her eyes soon fixed on Ichiro, the one she had come to visit. "Did you not think to tell me first? … What is this? Where are you going…?" The more she asked, the more her throat felt tighter, as if a lump was forming within it and breathing felt more difficult than before. Dread.
"…Don’t leave."Her voice whispered, barely audible.
Drunk
When he offered her his drink, he didn’t think she’d finish it in just a few chugs. He certainly didn’t think she’d reach for another one so quickly after. Keiko always was the one who showed more restraint, after all, and to see she no longer wished to be so prim and proper only made him grin in amusement.
He could get used to the woman sitting across from him, with blazing cheeks and easier smiles. He could. She actually looked like she was breathing.
"Can’t wait t’ see what that’s gonna do t’ ya in the morning~"
I don’t do nothing for nobody’s approval. understand this
Pain changes people
Pain makes people.
Oh that sounded terribly ominous. A surprise by his definition could mean anything from petty thievery of food to a full on brawl with the entirety of his own division. The former she could deal with, the latter not so much.
Rolling her eyes, she followed after him, because even though she was nervous to find out what his surprise was, her curiosity outweighed her worry.
"Oh calm down, its not my fault this place is the damn tundra. I’m right behind you, so just keep going."
A side glance was what he offered in return, watching as she fell into step beside him. She had to be one crazy fucker if she was ready to follow him after he gave her nothing but that vague explanation, considering she knew damn well he couldn't have forgotten their last encounter. And Ichiro had to give her credit for that. The kid had balls.
Still, he couldn't resist giving her one last scare before they hit the training grounds. She deserved it, after all.
"So the other day, when ya punched me--" A pause, as he shoved his hands into his pockets and craned his neck enough to look at her, no longer as amused as he was just moments ago. "Do ya know why I didn't hit ya back?"
