It’s called ‘being able to see the corpse’

So if I put you in an L-shaped swimming pool, and you knew there was a corpse around the corner, you'd be fine?

loving the implication that I'm a little animal and you're a scientist putting me into various bodies of water to test my corpse:water ratio tolerance

if we look at the original timeline (aka annabeth and percy being born in 1993) then 2009 was a big year for annabeth bcus not only did the battle of manhattan take place and she finally started dating percy, but also minecraft came out and i think that would be a big deal to her

Avatar

annabeth taking the knife for percy was peak impulsiveness at that stage of their relationship. because up until this point of the series. if i'm remembering correctly. all of annabeth actions were calculated. even her stubborn actions had merit. but taking the knife? knowing he was invulnerable? but taking the knife? knowing that him watching you cry out in agony hurt him just the same if he had been stabbed? but taking the knife? and then lying on a cot in the glisten of the setting sun? vulnerable and slow? grounding him like he's the one who needed saving? like watching you bleed out is enough to kill him? and touching the small of his back brings him back to life? impulsiveness turned romantic. turned angst. turned 'all the words i didn't say but you heard them anyway'. don't talk to me.

The strongest moments in their relationship imo is when Annabeth and Percy switch roles. Annabeth is usually the one in charge, the logical, reasonable, controlled one who is always 100% confident. Percy is usually the free flowing one, the kind-hearted one, the one always looking for the grey area. But when Annabeth is threatened, Percy becomes hard and calculated, and when Percy is threatened, Annabeth becomes emotional and uncertain. He explodes, she implodes. They're so close to each other that the thought of losing the other literally changes them at a fundamental level.

Literally the OG endgame couple, I will be taking no further questions at this time ty

Imagine being Percy, having to travel to the other side of the fucking country as a 12yo to enter the Underworld and then a few years later you find out there was an entrance in your fucking city. I would be pissed off tbh

thinking about if somehow Jason meets Luke in Elysium and Luke sees this kid with a scar on hip lips, only 16-17, calling himself Thalia's brother, still have so much to live for, and asks "Why did you die?"

"For the gods."

And Luke realizes that, oh, so the gods never change, after all.

his death means nothing.

how disappointing is that?

Sometimes Percy forgets he and Jason come from too different worlds.

Percy: Easy Jason, it's alright if you mess up.

Jason: No, it's alright if you mess up. If I mess up I've failed, and I fail I might as well be dead.

Percy: I think you're taking this a bit too far.

Jason: Percy you could trip over your own feet and at least five people would stop to help you up. When you fall people catch you.

Percy: What about you?

Jason: What about me? If I did that I'd be thrown away like a used rag.

Percy: Jase that's not true.

Jason: Your camp would never think to replace you. Your friends would scour the earth and the underworld to find you.

Percy: They didn't look for you?

Jason: No, they replaced me with you. Your camp loves you for who you are. If I'm not the perfect son of Jupiter...Than I might as well not exist at all.

Just realizing that probably at least part of Rick's motivation for making Percabeth's anniversary on Percy's birthday was that he and Becky got married on their shared birthday 😭😭😭

With the casting of season two of PJO coming up, I keep seeing people talk about who they want for certain roles like Tyson, Thalia, Silena, etc., but I think we’re forgetting about the most obvious and important casting decision. By that, I mean I will never be truly happy until Jack Black is cast as Blackjack. I genuinely couldn't care less about the casting; I trust the casting director with my life, but if I don’t get to hear the voice of Jack Black call Walker Scobell "boss,” I don’t think I’ll ever be truly satisfied. If Lin Manuel Miranda can be Hermes, I fully believe we can get Jack Black
