New Blog
Hey guys, it’s been a while. Like a super long time. Sorry. ^^; I went through a lot and kind of lost my muse and got out of a lot of things that I enjoyed. I don’t feel like I could just restart on this blog, it’s just too much from so long ago that I don’t even know what to do with it tbh.
That being said, I’ve been rereading a lot of my old writing and there are stories that I do want to finish very badly, and I’ve decided to make a completely new blog to repost and finish writing those things and maybe start writing some more original stuff.

Witch Tips 17
Here we go kids, we’ve reached #17. Absolute insanity. Remember to check my tag #10tips on my blog for about 160 more tips you can use in your craft.
1. Name your plants
They’re living things and they are your friends. You may even consider them your children, I know I do. Give them each a name. You can even name them after people in your life. I saw a post recently about a person who names their succulents after their friends so they can know when one of their human friends isn’t doing well based on how the plant is doing. You can also name them after your deities, if you have any, as an act of care and love.
2. Don’t use a tea strainer for tasseography
You will get leaves in your teeth and you will be bothered by them. I’m sorry, I really am. Tasseography, or tea leaf reading, works by using loose leaf tea for divination. If you put it in a strainer, it’s no longer as loose as you need it to be for your divination.
3. Alternatively, you can use an oversized strainer placed on top of your cup
If you just can’t do the whole loose leaf running free thing, here’s something that may help. You can get a tea/coffee strainer that’s meant to sit on top of your cup. You’ll have to drink with it on there, so be extra cautious the first few times. If it’s metal and your tea is very hot, you have the potential of burning yourself, so take care friends.
4. Pass on good karma
When something wonderful happens to you, or a stranger is extra kind to you, it’s always nice to keep the karma train going and return the favor to another person. I mean, it’s also wonderful to start the train, but keeping the good energy flowing is a wonderful way to live your life.
5. Make friends with birds - especially crows
Be kind to all animals, always, no matter what. But I’m going to specifically talk about crows. Familiars often present themselves in the form of crows. You never know if the crow watching you could be somebodies familiar. They will report back to their witch about how the interaction went. So say hello, perhaps offer something shiny if you can, & continue on your way.
6. Relax your mind when it starts to feel fuzzy - something incredible might be happening.
I’m sorry, I didn’t know how to summarize what I’m about to say for a title lol. Sometimes, when I’m struggling with something or just living my life, I get this weird feeling that’s almost comparable to the feeling right before you start to astral project. I’ve talked before about accidentally doing that before, but I can recognize the slight difference between the two states. Astral projection stems from the back of your head, and this thing I’m about to explain is the same feeling, but more localized in the 3rd eye region. If you begin to get this fuzzy, ‘zone out’ feeling there, relax your entire body. Don’t concentrate on the feeling and don’t try to suppress it. Just let it happen. You’ll start to get insanely fast flashes of images or words. Maybe you’ll be able to put them together and figure out what they mean. You may be having a vision.
7. Moon magick: the new moon
It’s a new moon tonight, so I wanted to talk a little bit about the magick of that phase in the cycle. Here are some things that are best to do spells for during the new moon.
- Vows
- Eliminating habits
- Cleansing
- Starting a long term endeavor
- Riding the body of toxic energy
8. Your Familiar may not be a physical being
There’s a lot of back and forth about what a familiar actually is. Some people think their pets are familiars, others believe they’re animals that find you during your rituals, but many believe that they’re more of spiritual presence. They may not even look like animals at all. They could come to you during astral projection as a being you’ve never imagined. They’ll follow you sometimes, or guide you to where you need to be in the astral realm. Be sure to make friends with them.
9. You don’t have to astral project on your own
It can be kinda scary when you first start out. And even dangerous if something goes wrong or you’re ill prepared. Having a fellow witch or a member of your coven watching over you is a wonderful idea. They can keep an eye on you, bless your body, or pull you back to earth if things don’t feel right. I highly recommend having a witch more experienced in the field than yourself do this. It can take a lot of stress off if you don’t have to explain everything to them before you try to take off.
10. Sigils are about intention, not aesthetics.
You don’t have to spend 40 minutes trying to draw the perfect sigil that looks super beautiful and ends up frustrating you more than anything. Instead, try this. Close your eyes. Meditate on your intentions (be sure to look at my previous witch tips for important information about this) grab your pen and just draw what feel right. Let your intuition take over and see what happens.

8 Character Creation Tips (for DnD or just writing in general)
1. Have a goal
While it may sound like I’m stating the obvious here, your character needs to have something they want to accomplish. Maybe they want to be the best at something, see a place, fall in love, conquer the world, or something else. Whatever it is, they need to have something that they desire beyond all other things. Ideally, give them more than one goal. Make them have to sacrifice one to achieve the other, to add extra drama
2. Have a reputation
Maybe they’re the best artist in their class or they’re great at juggling. Perhaps they slipped on the stairs in front of their whole village. Either way, give something for the locals to remember about them. That way it can give you a starting point for the interactions with other characters
3. Have a friend
Whether a friend, a coworker, a sibling, an army buddy, or someone they saved, have someone close to your character whom they’re close to and wish well. Yeah, angsty “I have no friends” characters can be fun, but in small doses; eventually the reader gets fed up with them. At the very least the character needs someone to talk to or bounce ideas off of
4. Have a home
It may be a neighborhood they grew up in, their parents’ house, or a room they’ve been renting in a tavern. Hell, it could even be a person if you so choose. Everyone needs to feel secure at one time or another
5. Have a signature item
Now, recognize that this may not work for EVERY character, but it’s up to you to decide what will fit and what won’t. In many cases, it can work. A signature item is something that is recognizably YOUR CHARACTER’S, be it a weapon, a scarf, a toy, or a piece of jewelry. It’s something that makes them feel like themself
6. Have a problem
This should be something other than the problem addressed in the main plot line. Maybe a member of their family is sick, they are broke, or they’re failing their classes. This helps make your character seem more realistic because NO ONE has one problem at a time
7. Have a secret
This can affect the plot or not; either way, it helps make your character more well rounded. Maybe your character can’t read, left their crewmates to die when a kracken attacked their ship, or made their long lost sister run away. If you choose to have it affect the plot in any way, this secret should embarrass your character, make it so that other characters don’t trust your character, or somehow endanger them and the people they’re close to if found out
8. Have a reason to be brave and to fight
Maybe it’s because your character wants to be like their hero, maybe it’s so they can repay a debt (like if someone saved their life previously), maybe it’s for their child, but your character needs to have a reason to occasionally face their fears
Have fun!!!
You don’t have to be grateful that it isn’t worse.
read that. read it again, and again, and again. somebody, somewhere, always has it worse than you. there is one person on this planet that has it the worst of all, and that person is NOT the only person allowed to be unhappy with their lot. if things are bad for you, they are bad for you. period.
This goes for trauma as well. A lot of times survivors get trapped in a cycle of minimizing/diminishing their trauma because “other people have it worse” - but there is no hierarchy of trauma. There is no ranking system for which traumas are “better” or “worse.” Your trauma is valid. Period.
IMPORTANT TRUTHS.
As a therapist, lemme just say: almost every trauma survivor I’ve ever had has at some point said “But I didn’t have it as bad as some people” and then talked about how other types of trauma are worse. Even my most-traumatized, most-abused, most psychologically-injured clients say this.
The ones who were cheated on, abandoned, and neglected say this. The ones who were in dangerous accidents/disasters say this. The ones who were horrifyingly sexually abused say this. The ones who were brutally beaten say this. The ones who were psychologically tortured for decades say this. What does that tell you? That one of the typical side-effects of trauma is to make you believe that you are unworthy of care.
Don’t buy into it, because it’s nonsense. It doesn’t matter if someone else had it “worse.” Every person who experiences a trauma deserves to get the attention and care they need to heal from it.
“one of the typical side-effects of trauma is to make you believe that you are unworthy of care.”
SO true.
Mental health in South Korea needs to be talked about
South Korea has had the highest suicide rate in the industrialized world for eight consecutive years. Suicide is the biggest cause of death to those in their 10s, 20s and 30s, and the suicide rates for men are twice as high as for women. These statistics only prove that the stigma surrounding mental health has to be changed - too many lives are being lost.
Jonghyun was talented, and kind, and open, and was fighting so hard, and for so long. From the bottom of my heart, I am so sorry to him, to anyone who knew him, and anyone who was his fan.
I was scrolling through Twitch and found a steam of an old lady painting and chatting and it’s honestly the most wholesome thing
