I’m thrilled to announce the app that I’ve been using to make my food gifs, Camera Zoetrope, is now available on the App Store for iPhones! This is a product I’m very proud of and excited about!

Shades of grapes.
The final strawberry
Strawberry growing on my balcony ripening. The result was a very fragrant red strawberry, although perhaps not too sweet.
The finished braided loaf.
I decided to redo Paul Hollywood's 8 stranded plait loaf. This time I got the loaf even longer!
Building up a sandwich. Whole grain mustard, pickles, red onion, tomato, a slider party with melted cheese, fried capicola and leafy greens, all on a pretzel bun. It was delicious!
In honor of the app I use to make these, Camera Zoetrope, being submitted to the App Store, we've been revisiting some of my favorite gifs and classing them up. Here's the pomegranate animation!

Making kimberlite8's orange chocolate chip cookie recipe. So yummy!!! I ate all the batter off the whisk and snuck several cookies's worth of batter before we even baked anything.
So many citrus fruits!
Watch The Great British Baking Show on PBS. Follow the trials and tribulations of passionate amateur bakers whose goal is to be named the U.K.’s best.
Great British Bake Off (renamed Great British Baking Show) is now available for American audiences on PBS! Season 5 is showing on your local stations (as well as the PBS on demand app on Apple TV). I started watching this show because westeroswolf is a fan and now it is one of my all time favorites.
What makes it so good? The people are real not annoyingly loud reality TV stereotypes and the competitive atmosphere is about respect and civility. The challenges are about achieving excellence rather than artificially creating stress though unreasonable time limits or ingredient restrictions (ugh Top Chef). I also enjoy the snippets of history which ties cultural history to the history of food.
hungrygifs became an obsessive fan of this show after seeing me marathoning it at home. Its really quite addictive but in a gentle way that doesn’t leave you feeling guilty for watching. Check it out!
I absolutely love Great British Bake Off! It’s some of the most beautiful baked goods (made by amateurs!) as well as humor, history, and a nice friendliness amongst all the competitors. The most drama you’ll get is when someone has a soggy bottom, which I find a refreshing change after watching a lot of Top Chef and similar shows. Thanks for introducing it to me, kimberlite8!
Yesterday was pi day! I made a chocolate peanut butter cream pie in an Oreo crust to celebrate. Here's filling the pie.
