"And yet it is the perfect size for you! " Chuckling softly his voice dropped a few octaves as he followed up. " Do not tempt me.” 

Clearing his throat he rose to his feet, trying to brush off the dirt from his hakama. ” I am in need of a mass grave. Thus I dug one.” 

"That I do not have a head as large as yours I take to be a good thing," Sesshomaru said dryly.  "And it will take much more to topple me into such a hole than it did when I was a pup," he added upon his father's threat.  

Sesshomaru raised an eyebrow almost imperceptibly at the reason for the hole.  "And here I thought you had decided to hibernate."

A tune rose through the eerie night as he hummed to himself, crouching down on the edge if a large hole in the ground. Brushing the dirt off his hands he mused softly to himself. “Tis almost big enough.” 

"I think you'll find it's not nearly big enough for your head, Father," Sesshomaru commented, his tone almost offhand as he observed his elder at the hole.  "What is it for, anyway?"
