“It’s not princess. It’s y/n.” With that, you turned back around and walked to your class. Smiling to himself, he walked a few steps behind you. Examining your figure, he couldn’t help but keep his eyes on you. He thought to himself,
“She’s fun”.

Daniel’s footsteps continued to follow behind you and you couldn’t help but feel a wave of irritation and uncomfortability rush over you.
“Princess, there’s really no need to rush. The prof never shows up on time anyway. Let’s take this time to get to know each other,” he says with that obnoxious smirk. Sighing heavily. You turn around and flash a fake smile. The attitude within you was starting to bubble up. Striding towards the boy, you stand in front of his large form and look up at him behind your lashes.
“Is that something you would love to do, Kang? Because i’m sure that is exactly what you want. That is, to get to know me more,” you say with a finger gliding along his chest. He looked down at you and was taken by surprise, but he couldn’t lie and say that he didn’t enjoy it. Stepping closer to you he placed a hand on the small of your back and pulled you to his chest.
“Glad to know that we’re on the same page”. A wink followed his cocky statement. Scoffing, you pushed yourself off the man and proceeded to make way to your class.
“Maybe another time, Kang. Don’t get too impatient.”
Uni was really starting to get the best of you. It was getting dreadful and tiring. The idea of Daniel wasn’t helping at all either. The only thing that could really keep you sane was Jihoon. It sucked that you two didn’t major in the same thing. Your schedules clashed and you never really had time to hang out with him unless it was at the dorm after school. You started to miss him at random times. Just as your thoughts about him flooded your mind, you notice a familiar figure standing outside your communications class.
“Y/n!!!” screams a joyful Jihoon. Instantly lifting your mood, he pulls you into a hug. His heart shining a brighter red than it was before he saw your face.
“Hey hoon!! What are you doing here?? Don’t you have class right now?”. Smiling widely, he links arms with you while you two begin walking to the food court. [It’s obvious that it’s your favorite place to be together]
“All my classes were cancelled today so I figured i’d spend this rare occasion with you!! Are you done for today?”. Feeling extremely special that he’d spend his free day with you instead of doing other things, you giggle.
“I just have bio in an hour and then i’m free!! Let’s go to the pc room after, mhm?”. Nearly jumping of joy, he pulls you into a bear hug and kisses your forehead.
“UH YEAH YOU DON’T EVEN HAVE TO ASK!!”
An hour flies by and you head to your biology class. Heavy footsteps were made on your way there, as a result of seeing Daniel. The aura radiating from his heart still haunted your thoughts. He screamed bad news and you wanted to choke yourself knowing that you got yourself associated with something that terrified you. Making your way to your usual seat, you see Daniel right next to yours, chatting it off with some girl in the row behind him. Rolling your eyes, you quietly sit down and unpack the things from your bag. Hearing the slight rustling in the seat next to him, he looks over at you and immediately smirks.
“Hey kitten. You have no idea how glad I am to see you right now,” he says with an arm beginning to drape around your shoulders. Immediately shaking off his touch, you disregard his comment and open up your textbook. Chuckling, he sits back in his seat.
“Now about what we were talking about earlier. Are you free tonight? I want to take that opportunity to get to know more about you. In terms of personality, and physically”. Scoffing at him, you turn your head to him and narrow your eyes.
“Cute suggestion, but i’ll pass. I have plans”. Straightening his posture at the rejection he received, he leans over and pushes some hair behind your ear.
“Awh princess. Care to share what plans that are so important that you have to turn down mine?”. Noticing the obvious irritation in Daniel’s voice as his ego was being shut down, you smirked at him.
“I’m going out with my best friend. That’s all you have to know”. Getting closer to your ear, nearly whispering.
“Can’t be a guy, can it?”. Leaning over to his ear, you get in real close.
“Maybe. Maybe not. Not that it’s any of your business though, Kang”. With that, he sat back in his chair and kept quiet. It felt like an achievement. Shutting down the Kang Daniel’s ego. It was kind of fun.

So that was a really short second chapter! I’m sorry that it was so long overdue, but the next chapter will be a lot longer!! I actually wasn’t going to do a series to it, but i got a lot of positive feedback so i figured i’d just continue it!! I’m willing to make this 5 chapters or longer. “he’s definitely into you,“ sejeong claimes as you all gathered together in ther small dorm room. it was girls’ night, your traditional friday every month. a bit cliché watching romantic movies type, the one you are not really a big fan of but since they were your friends you endured their questionable choices of movies. however, this friday, the topic is you and minhyun instead of some hot actors or playing fuck, marry, kill games.
“yeah, he practically eats out of her hands. have you seen the looks he gave her when we passed by him in the hallways?“ chungha add and you feel like everybody is more excited about this than you.
“he really likes this hard-to-get type, or so it seems,“ they agree and you feel a tug in your stomach at the thought of leading minhyun on. he has always been nice to you. a bit too flirty for your liking but he isn’t a bad guy and he look so freaking hot! but then you always remember how he played with girls’ feelings and you devoured the power you had over him.
“should we step up out game then?“ you raise a brow, ready to challenge but nayoung doesn’t quite understand what you mean by that.
“what are you thinking about?“
“let’s make him prove he really wants me,“ you wink and the girls scream their ideas in chorus, getting louder in excitement. it’s gonna be a long night, you can see, with all that careful planning you make to have the boy fall for you, there’s only one variable you can’t control, or at least not really.
your heart.
it happens on a monday, between classes, when you are alone, rushing to your next lesson when minhyun takes you by surprise. he slips in front of you, blocking your way and backing you up to the wall, similar to the position you had him back then in the locking room.
there’s something dangerous about his smile. something dominant and the way he seemingly doesn’t care about the turbulence he caused, attracting the other students’ attention on you shows that he exactly know what he is doing. he’s cornering you on public so you cannot run away as simply as you did those last times.
“are you playing with me, y/n?” he asks straighforward as ever and you shrug like you didn’t ignore his messages the whole weekend.
“me? no. why do you think that?” you blink innocently with faux naiveness in your voice but both of you know the turth and it’s kinda fun that neither of you talks about it.
“you are a funny little thing, aren’t you?“ his lips twitches and you want to touch so badly, to cup his face and smooth over those suspicious lines but no, you curl your fingers into a fist.
“normally i don’t joke around,“ you shake your head teasing him more and more. it’s an endless circle.
“it’s just… it feels like you wanna take me to the edge every time just to back off,” minhyun carefully words the sentence and he’s got a point there, because it is what it is about, isn’t it?
“you are not that stupid they say you are, hwang, after all,“ you click your tongue and it could be outright offending if the athlete didn’t like your playfully rude humour.
“and let me guess, you are into intelligent guys,“ he played this game well leaning in closer and closer, resting his head against the wall behind your back.
“well, you said it, not me,“ you shrug but don’t say that for him, you could change your mind just for a while. you bit into your lip and keep the eyecontent as long as the boy comes so close you see his lashes and the prettiest moles on his face clearly. his luscious lips so inviting, they make it physically hard to yank yourself out of his arms’ cage when they brush against yours. “i have to go. i don’t want to be late from class,“ you make a stupid excuse but doesn’t shake off minhyun when he throws an arm over your soulder as you walk.
“will you come for the regionals?“ he asks quite curiously and you chuckle. that was your original plan after all.
“maybe.”
“if you do…” minhyun continues without much sadness as if he knew he won. “wear my jersey.”
“i don’t even have that,” you snort loudly but then the air get stuck in your lungs as the boy’s lips brush against your ear.
“i will take care of it,” he whispers with a playful wink and you sigh.
“okay,“ you nod and slip out of his manly arm when you reach the classroom. “win the game and we will see about your reward.”
the suspicious tilt of minhyun’s head tells you he isn’t sure he can trust you. you don’t blame him.
“promise?“ he quirks and eyebrow and you laugh.
instead of answering you fly him a kiss and disappear in the classroom.
