Fanfiction Commissions
Edit: someone asked me to rearrange this post to make it shorter. My thoughts and why these prices and such are under the cut at the bottom.
So. Here’s my price list for commissions. Updated 04/28/2015
Flat rate: $15 per 1000 words.
1000 words: $15.
1000-2000 words: $30.
3000-4000 words: $45.
4000-5000 words: $60.
5000-6000 words: $75.
6000-7000 words: $90.
Anything beyond that, and we’ll talk.
Those are for the minimum amount written; if I write over that amount, no charge. I don’t know if it’s physically possible for me to write porn without a plot, after all. Outlines are fine, twisted plots or general everyday life is fine, porn is fine. Changing stuff as I write if you don’t like it is fine. I’m not terribly good at sticky, and my sense of humor insists on interrupting a lot of my serious scenes, but if you’ve read my fics, you probably know that.
I’ll take commissions for the next part of one of my fics, if there’s something you want continued. I list many of my fics as Completed so as to not get people’s hopes up about continuing. Feel free to ask if there’s actually a continuation planned, or a sequel. You can always pitch an idea if you’ve got your heart set on something.
I write in Transformers (including Beast Wars, but mostly G1, IDW, some Shattered Glass, TFA, and Bayverse – you can always ask if I write a continuity), Brave Police J-Decker, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003 series + 2007 movie), and I suppose Inuyasha, Stargate SG-1, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Godzilla: The Series. I don’t write original characters, but there are other fanfic writers who do now!
I have the right to refuse a commission. There are certain things and/or characters (or pairings) that I can’t write well or don’t want to write. Or maybe I’m really busy, even. Whatever the reason, I do have the right to say, “No, thank you.”
Fics will be posted to my LiveJournal. It will also be made available to download in any document type for you, but the posting is to ensure that it’s clear it is my work. I would probably like to also post it to Ao3 and FF.net, but I will ask permission, and you have every right to keep my fic for yourself instead of allowing me to share it with everyone.
You can remain anonymous. I will mark the fanfic as a commission, but I will ask your permission before using your name as the commissioner.
You may not repost my fic. If you want to share it with your friends, that’s fine, but posting it somewhere makes it look like you’re claiming it as your work. No putting it up on a fic site. If you choose to share it on Tumblr (instead of having me post it), my name and preferably a link to my Ao3 account must be permanently attached.
That all sounds scary because it’s professional stuff suddenly applied to fun stuff – but it’s still fun stuff, don’t worry. I’m just saying that you can’t go forth into the world claiming that you wrote my fic or used my outlines/characterizations.
Payment is up front, through Paypal. This is my end of the bargain. If you commission me to write you 3000 words of Ratchet & Megatron (nonporn, sexual overtones allowed) with the prompt “Drug addiction,” you’re going to owe me $45. I’ll write out an outline and rough characterizations of them according to what you’d like, or not if you prefer to just give me the prompt and let me go. You talk and poke at it with me until you’re satisfied, and then you pay me.
That money sits in my Paypal account until I deliver. If, for some reason, I can’t deliver – no problem, I’ll return it all. If you change your mind midway through, I’ll charge for whatever wordcount I’ve reached and return the rest, along with your however-much-completed fic. Outline, characterization, and fic are mine to mess with if the fic’s left incomplete like that, meaning that if I want to rewrite and use it elsewhere, I can.
Get it? Got it? Good. Contact me via an Ask or Submit (submit is more reliable but I can’t respond). Fanmail is preferred. We’ll go from there.
As for why I’m offering fanfic commissions…
