"What are we going to do about Zaofu?"

❝Am I my sister’s keeper? Should she ask        for my assistance, I will help, of course!        I have my own responsibilities; I will not        babysit her and she doesn’t want me to.

I will only help if asked; I can only do so much…

"Because I need your help. Opal and I arrived here and Zaofu is going to fall without your help. Please come."

❝I don’t see what one more person will do, Jinora. I will be there within the hour…❞

"Thank you," she said, and hung up.

[text]: idk did he have cactus juice with him?

[text]: he’s a weepy drunk

Avatar

[text]: can you come fix him?

[text]: depends on what he’s crying about

[text]: if it’s about how his scarf doesn’t match his blue feelings and/or           emotions, he’s beyond help.

[text]: if it’s about our break up, he’s DEF beyond help and don’t let him           see the swt picture of us.

[text]: I may be able to help if he’s weepy for something else though!

[text]: I just peeked inside

[text]: it's the scarf

[text]: I just heard him wail "I NEED YOU SCARFIE"

"If they leave," she scoffs, glancing out the front window again. What an inconvenience it was.

But Kai was here. Nothing could really matter.

"Let’s try to be optimistic," Kai smirked while taking a large spoon and scooping the noodles into their bowls then getting some chopsticks from the drawer.

"Optimism is motto, remember?" She retorted sarcastically, bringing the food to the table.

"Of course," he smirked as he sat down across from her.

As she sat down, she looked directly into his green eyes. They were startling in this light, catching all the glimmer from the setting sun.

"Who's your favorite sibling?"

Avatar

"That’s so hard… I don’t know! I love Ikki’s enthusiasm, but it can be a bit much. I love how cute Rohan is, but he’s just a baby. And you, well you’re a character. I have to say… Korra."

Avatar

"Will not!"

"Will too! And when find her, I’ll ask, but she’ll love me the most already for finding her.”

"Will not!"

"Right— the noodles!" She rushed to take the boiling water off of the stove, just in time to prevent it from boiling over.

"Disaster averted," she sighed.

"Good, we wouldn’t want a ‘disaster’ on vacation," Kai grinned as he went to set the small table that was close to the floor with cushions as seats.

"Disasters are my least favorite," she said jokingly, draining the noodles.

She could hear the clinking of the silverware as she mixed the noodles in with the sauce. It was so peaceful-- the sound of the ocean waves rolling through the window, the smell of salt water filling her nose. She took a moment just to take note of how it felt.

"Fine," she scoffed, holding her nose up high.

"And when I ask Korra the same question, of course she’ll say me!" He boasted.

"Will not!"

"Yes it does!" Jinora insisted.

Meelo backed off the argument.

"Fine," he crossed his arms. "But then, Korra is my favorite sibling too,” he stuck his tongue out at his older sister.

"Fine," she scoffed, holding her nose up high.

"Of course Korra counts!" Jinora responded, starting to get a little annoyed. "She’s part of our family."

"Well, I guess. I see her like a big a sister too, but like a big sister doesn’t count.”

"Yes it does!" Jinora insisted.

"I’m well aware of your ‘jokes,’ mister" she teased. They were so close now. Even 9 months later, she still felt butterflies.

"Why do I feel like we’re forgetting something?" Kai asked as he rested his cheek against the top of Jinora’s head and pursed his lips thoughtfully.

"Right-- the noodles!" She rushed to take the boiling water off of the stove, just in time to prevent it from boiling over.

"I don’t think I need a Ph D to fix a burn," she said slyly, wrapping her arms around his waist.

"It’s a new thing. They call it a ‘joke’," Kai gave a soft laugh as he placed his own arms around her shoulders and pulled her against him.
