Hangeng's Weibo update on 12th year anniversary of debut
Today is the 12th anniversary of my debut.
I'm at the airport waiting for my flight to New Zealand where I filmed the MV for "Say No" for my first solo album. Twelve years coincides with an entire cycle of the zodiac, it's like a new beginning that fate has planned for.
At the 10th anniversary of my debut I said, "10 years to me has a special meaning, so I want to do something to commemorate it, and let my fans know what I feel deep in my heart. So I wrote "夜伴三庚” (Hangeng's autobiography).
To my gengfans who debuted three days before I did, I'm very glad and thankful to all of you. "We are still here" is the warmest and most moving phrase I have ever heard. Thank you for saying that to me!
In that past, you were my biggest pillars and support when I was alone in a foreign country. You debuted three days before I did and welcomed every milestone of my life like a member of my family. I will always remember all those moving moments in my heart. In the past twelve years, the support and protection you gave me provided me with the strength to continue forward. My love to you is the same, and has not changed.
In the recent few years, I often see that many of you have started your own families and your lives have become more fulfilling and exciting. After so many memorable years together, like an old friend saying his blessings, I am so happy from the bottom of my heart to see that you are all living a happy and fulfilling life.
Thinking about the past, my willfulness an stubbornness may have brought you pain and disappointment. I suddenly announced that I will no longer release any more albums, I often participate in extreme sports, I joined an F1 racing team, I didn't film any idol dramas that many of you liked.... It's not that I did not consider your feeling, but rather, I wanted to share with all of you, the real me. Taking away my role as a celebrity, I hope that you are also a friend in my life, a friend with whom I can talk about the way I live and discuss my life. Of course, I will also try hard to be the image of Hangeng in your hearts, by creating more film and television projects and be more involved behind the scenes. I will also nurture more new faces, and create more opportunities for them.
In these twelve years, other then my gengfans, there are also many people around me who have helped me silently. My family, my staffing team, my friends and everyone in the media and film crews. You all worked harder and are more great, than you all!
Time passes by and the world changes, we are constantly separating and reuniting. Everyone has their own story, we lived it, felt it, shared it. The simplest way to express life may be to commit to your original intentions and be your real self.
I'm thankful to the twelve years that went by. I will treasure the present and look forward to the future. I will you all the best.

(Translator's notes: For those of you who are not aware, recently Chinese gengfans have been requesting that Hangeng change his current team of staff or hire additional staff to help with his activities.
His current staffing team's non-actions has caused a lot of damage to his reputation in the past few years, including when he was involved in a false scandal in April of 2016, his staff not only did not come out and set the record straight, but was instead hosting a sleep over party when false accusations where being posted everywhere. His manager's bad attitude has also resulted in many lost endorsements.
Han Geng currently has five unreleased movies and one unreleased drama all with him as the leading actor, but because of none action, many people had the impression that he had retired from the industry. Gengfans wanted better communication and more professionalism from his staff and has trended more then 10 hashtags on weibo to that effect. He is in part responding to gengfans' demands in this post. )
