Friendship Bracelet Summer Trend

The friendship bracelet trend is great for summer and creates a great festival look I am loving the hippie vibe. This is a great trend because everyone can style it by just having a hunt around their room for some friendship bracelets or stand out bracelets they have lying around and stacking them together to create a great look.  Trust me girlies it is so easy to do, it’s fantastic being able to wear jewelry you have not touched in years. It makes me reminisce and puts a smile on my face by bring back old memories.

How I styled it

For this trend I decided not to go out and buy all new bracelets because that’s rather expensive!  Instead I rummaged through my jewelry box and I found plenty. You can do the same this trend is great it’s stylish and you don’t have to spend a bomb. I took some old cheap bracelets I have picked over the years when I was younger and a bracelet given to me by a friend, and pared it with one of my favorite pearl bracelets that was a gift from my mum. It creates an amazing stacking look and it’s great to wear with funky nail polish.

How you can style it

So these bracelets don’t have to be friendship bracelets it’s about taking small bracelets in that sort of summer camp style and staking them together. You need to include some bracelets with tassels. You can make them bold and bright or keep to one colour it’s up to you, this style is so easy to match with any outfit and looks super cute in denim summer short and a white tee or a cute summer dress.

If you want to treat yourself go and get ya self some new friendship bling great shops are H&M that is selling a lot of tribal and gold bracelets. Accessorize is perfect for buying some pretty girlie bracelets they have lots of pinks and floral inspired bracelets. Another amazing shop for this trend is Poor Cat Designs. Their Jewelry is so cute and original they have tons of categories and styles so there is something for everyone. Folsky is a wonderful site that creates original and interesting jewelry that you don’t see around too often. The site sells multiple designers works so there is lots of choice.

Here are the links to the two sites:

Loving this trend so much reminds me of when I was younger and its great to be able to wear things I already have but of course you can go out and get some amazing pieces to make this look even more chique.

I was thinking about doing a give away with bracelets, but I am not sure because jewelry is very personal. Let me know what you think x

Press And Go False Nails Review

Press And Go False Nails Review

My new obsession is false nails now I have to admit I have always been terrified of them. But I wanted to follow up on my nail polish review with a false nail review. I am scared of the glue because my nails are already terribly brittle and I don’t not want the glue to make them even worse. So I found a solution to this.

I am in Singapore at the moment and I was just having a little look around the shops and noticed Press And Go. They caught my eye because of the pretty colours and they advertised that they lasted seven days. Press And Go in the UK and America is called Impress-On manicure: made by Broadway Nails. They are false plastic nails that do not require glue that’s what’s so appealing about them. I tested these nails out for you to see how they fare. And overall I am so happy with this product and I highly recommend these to anyone who does not like glue on false nails but love the look it gives you.

Look Feel and Durability

I wore fake nails years ago when I was fourteen I only wore them for a bit because I was so active in school that I found it hard to do things with them on. I also had a dreadful experience is art class where one of them ripped off my own nail. These nails did feel strange at first and I was worried they were going to fall off but they are very sturdy. Once you feel comfortable and get used to them, you are able to do things normally again. The only thing I am still struggling with is tying up my hair. You do have to make sure you pick a good size otherwise the nails don’t last and look more fake. It advertises they last a week but if you look at the small print it says your nails have to be medium length if you get that size. I also took a shower with the nails and they held up strong one nails became slightly lose so I simply pulled it off and replaced it. The nails look really pretty like you just came form a nail salon and I feel like I have perfect celebrity nails like Khloe Kardashian my nail idol.

Application

With regards to putting them on it is so easy! Takes less time then painting them. You peal off the plastic tab and stick it on your nails. They come with 12 sizes and 24 nails so there will definitely be some that will fit you and some spare. It also comes with an alcohol wipe to clean the oil off your nails and a cute little nail file to fix up the shape and any sticking out plastic that they have on the top. I placed mine on the wrong way round with the oval side at the top of my nails because I prefer rounded nails. I think this looks great but it makes them less strong as not all the glue is on your finger and one of mine fell off in the hour. I then wore them again the right way round and this is my third day and they are still going strong.

 Overall Thoughts

These nails are great they feel very strong and look stunning I feel very feminine with them on and want to go out and show them off, no one has to know they are fake. Something about long manicured nails looks so classy. I really recommend these nails too all of you out there its truly a great product and saves you having to paint your nails every three days.

The Price

I bought these in Singapore and they were 20% off so they were $10.30 that’s £4.84. But in England they are a bit more expensive around seven pounds depending on where you buy them, I did some research and found Boots and Amazon sold the nails but they are called Impress-on. I was really happy with the price here for what you get even though in England they are more expensive it is worth the money I cannot stress that enough!

Rating: 8/10

Seriously go and buy this product! Thanks for reading send me an ask with any questions you have or a product you would like me to review. If you girlies would like I can do a tutorial on how to apply them so they last, so let me know.

Here is the website link if you are interested at looking at the different patterns and colours: http://impressmanicure.com/

Give away coming soon will include these Press and Go nails as well as OPI nail polish.

Hi gorgeous,

Yes eleven pounds it rather expensive for nail polish but out of the three I have tried and from past experience with cheap nail polish it is the best. As I said in my post it goes on beautifully and the colour is so vibrent it give the best finish. I did some searching for you and if you are in the UK or America you could order from Amazon they offer the OPI nail polish for £6.95.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=OPI

thats the link and they have some good colours, I particularly like the purple so gothic and sexy

Or I mentioned Beauty Bay for China Glaze but they also sell OPI for £7.00 and they deliver free world wide! Take a look!

Hope that helped you out

Nail Polish Review

Featuring: OPI, China Glaze and Topshop Matte

Hello lovely’s my new obsession is nail polish,

I am so jelly of all those girls I see with lovely shiny manicured fingernails, I think it can add such a cute pop of colour to any outfit. Unfortunately I have super dry brittle nails. But I thought non the less I shall still test out some polishes for you girlies.

Before I wrote this some research like the good little student I am and OPI seems to be one of the best nail polish bands out there, I have also had several manicures done professionally with OPI and it has lasted a week and that is amazing for me!

OPI Nail Polish

My favorite of the five has to be the blue it is such a pretty colour and I find it matches easily with all my daily outfits and adds a little pop. The two pinks were lovely the bright pink is very intense and great for a night out, I like the lighter pink but it is a little pale for me. It would however, work well for work or even for school as its quite subtle but very pretty.

The two glitter polishes I am not a fan of it made my nails feel very rough and they are very difficult to remove. They look very cool and fun but I found the red stained my fingers and it took me a really long tome to get it off and having yucky red stained nails is never cute. On the plus side the glitter lasted a lot longer about five days and that’s always great because I get so lazy with my nails.

OPI is a really good brand of nail polish it offers a wide variety of colours and their website is amazing and they have new neon shade that I thought looked awesome! It is very easy to apply I liked the brush it was a great thickness. The polish dries properly within about five minutes unlike some nail polish that takes an hour and then you smudge it! The colour lasted me three days before it started to chip and come off of course this will be different for everyone but I was rather pleased with that.

The added expense defiantly adds extra value! The bottle is a good size and I believe would last a very long time. I will defiantly be going out and buying some more vibrant colours, just walking into Sephora I wanted to buy them all, so stunning.

I give this product a 8/10

I thought I would compare OPI to other nail polishes to see the quality difference. So the other two brands I chose to compare it to were China Glaze and Topshop Matte.

  China Glaze

So this brand I did not go out and buy brand new I will admit I have had it for about a month as I was sent it as a sample in the Bella Box. When I got it I was very excited the colour was a pale turquoise I also thought it was very sweet they provided such a big bottle in my sample box. But I found the polish has almost solidified in the bottle and I could not paint smoothly onto my nails and it left a horrible gritty texture on my nails so I took it right off. So not very happy with that but it may be because it’s a sample. I’m not complaining though free stuff is always great I was just a little disappointed with this polish quality.

I give this product 4/10 - OPI over China Glaze any day!

Topshop Matte

I love Topshop it is my favorite shop everything in there is amazing. Except their matte nail polish. I went with matte because I have never seen that before and thought it would be really edgy. The stuff is horrible to put on all gloopy and it feels really strange I loved the colour but not the over all result on my nails. I also found the brush extremely hard to work with and I could not smoothly apply the polish to my nails and it left them streaky. Although I did not like the matte I love Topshop in general so I will be going out to purchase a normal polish to see what that’s like.

I give this product 5/10

Price

OPI: £11.95

China glaze: £7.00 from Beauty Bay - Just a side note Beauty Bay is an amazing site offering products at a cheaper price and they ship world wide for free!

Topshop: £5.00

So this is just my opinion on these products no offense meant to anyone or to the companies. I hope you found this helpful you can message me if you have any question or suggestions for my next review. I did not include any pictures of them on because I have crap nails but I did take some and if you would like to see them just send me an ask.

Bye for now x
