I am Michelle and I draw and paint and take photos and write and do all that stuff. One day I'm gonna be a tiny blackbird sitting on a tree or a koala sleeping on one. But until then I post things from my sketchbooks and all sort of things...

Hey! I love the pictures you take and your art is so amazing. Whenever I look for some motivation and ideas I find myself coming back to your sketchbook spreads. Do you have a VSCO public profile? The photos are so aesthetic!

Oh hey! Thank you so much, that is super lovely to hear, it’s a humbling feeling to hear that you’re able to inspire someone. Unfortunately I don’t, I only post photos on Instagram stories.

do you have any recommendations for journals similar to the one you use (i know it’s discontinued but it’s literally the perfect film journal)

I think once mine will be filled up I’ll just get a normal blank Moleskine, a Leuchtturm or a cheap one (sometimes cheap ones feel more special in a way, because there seems to be less pressure I feel). To be fair, I don’t even think that highly of the Moleskine Film Journal itself – it is a normal book after all that just has a preprinted layout – but it’s so easy to make that yourself, which will feel even more personalised. If you’re really keen on that layout though, you could see if you like the Book Journal they still do produce and just sort of reinterpret that for films.

Hi, I was wondering where you got your notebook from where you review films, because I really like it and would like to have one myself. :) Thank you

It’s the Moleskine Film Journal, but they unfortunately stopped producing that particular one a few years ago.

Congrats on opening the film club, I’m happy to be supporting you

Oh man, thank you so much, you have no idea how much that means to me! I’m still a bit nervous about it, but this seemed like the only way to sustain and keep them alive, so your message was extremely heartwarming to read.
