I have worked on a couple of cancelled or delayed animated features, and I have to say that I am truly grateful to have finally worked on something that got a theatrical release. Getting onto a project at all requires so much luck and timing, and I consider myself lucky to have worked with such great people and talented artists on Emoji. Here are some of my favorite drawings I did for the show!
This past fall I contributed to Emerald City Comic Con's Monsters and Dames charity art book. I couldn't attend the conference due to last minute work conflicts, but they were kind enough to feature my artwork on the cover!

I'm not sure if I'm really supposed to be sharing the full image for Light Grey Art Lab's upcoming To Be You show just yet, but I'm really proud of how this came out and it's a really important piece to me. If you follow me on any social media, you will notice that last fall my whole life fell apart all at once. Within about a month I went through a breakup, totaled my car, and found myself (somewhat) unexpectedly without full time work. It was quite a roller coaster and really forced me to take some time to reflect and heal. I'm happy to say that I am mostly through that dark tunnel, and feeling happier and more whole than I have in a long time. I really wanted to create a piece about this absolutely bonkers season in my life, and this short comic is the result. Thank you Light Grey Art lab for giving me a deadline to get this done :) The show takes place at their new expanded gallery in Minneapolis on March 3rd 7-10pm!
