I can’t believe, after 11 season of this character, Shonda just killed him off in that rushed episode, mid-season, completely out of the blue, with no proper build up or reasoning. There was absolutely no reason Derek had to die, even if Patrick wanted to leave. It was solely for shock value and doesn’t even make sense in relation to the story. Derek Shepherd deserved more. Meredith Grey deserved more. Zola and Bailey deserve more. And Patrick Dempsey deserved more.. And quite honestly, after watching this character for so long and falling in love with him, his story, his relationship and his beautiful journey to get to where he is.. I feel cheated and betrayed and as a viewer.
