Okay okay so what do we got here with this anime in the snake tag First gif is a Colombian rainbow boa Sixth seems to be an attempt to make ball pythons intimidating yeah rite I see milksnakes in the third and the fifth looks like there’s a green mamba in there wtf Third is an albino boa but I’m not sure on the species…

So I just noticed. Why do the albino boa and the milksnake have fangs? Like with the boa it’s completely unacceptable but the milksnake??? Literally switch some colors????? And it’d be venomous?????????

pokemon go is singlehandedly shaping the entire fuckdamn globe. places looking for hire are listing “active pokemon go gym nearby” as a perk of the job. bars are placing lures at nearby pokestops to attract customers. dog shelters are taking advantage of the trend to get people to walk the dogs while they play. this is the most positive possible outcome of pokemon’s wild popularity i love it so much

yes that does indeed say happycow. so. there have been A TON of studies on cows and grooming. the general summary: cows really like to be clean; they’re MUCH happier that way. if you don’t provide them a brush or something like that, they’ll use walls or fences to scratch against, possibly hurting themselves in the process.

but more to the point grooming is a way they calm themselves down, too. similar studies have found that it’s the first thing they do after being freed when they’ve been restrained.

And it’s worth note that Ledecky didn’t just win the 800 freestyle- she obliterated it:

Thats her. And those specks in the distance are her competitors. The second place swimmer was 11 SECONDS behind her. 11 seconds is FOREVER in something like this. Most second place swimmers in most races finish fractions of a second behind the first place swimmer.

Her finishing with none of her competitors in sight. And that yellow line is the previous world record’s pace. Ledecky is more than a full body length ahead.

Which, btw, she did in the 400m freestyle earlier in the games. Seen here:

So to sum it up: Yeah, Phelps is one of the most decorated Olympic swimmers ever etc etc but him getting silver means jack in the face of the actual-human-avatar-of-Poseidon that is Katie Ledecky.

I have to say, fuck this? Honestly? Because sometimes you have to look out for yourself? Some people never get out of their bad places. Some people just…no matter what you do, how much you help, how much you’re there, no matter how much you sacrifice, how much you fucking do for them? If they won’t help themselves? You have to watch out for yourself. And that’s coming from someone with severe depression, anxiety, panic attacks. For fucks sake, you can’t rely on other people, and you can’t expect people to ride your downward spiral with you. If you won’t help yourself, you can’t fucking expect everyone else to put their own mental health at risk just to be there for you. And you can’t fucking guilt trip them into staying by your side I hate this so much.

I really needed to hear this.

This is just a small part of my attempts at Being A Better Friend. I had to back away from so many people simply because I had nothing left of myself to give them. That isn’t a “they took too much” statement. That is a “I ran myself beyond empty and was trying to stay alive” statement.

I’m still not in a great place but I am trying.

You are not entitled to someone else’s body just because it’s exposed. 

What is so fucking difficult about this concept?
