Mutants really were the evolved specie. In all of his life, Erik has mostly seen humans get sick. Mutants rarely are. Even he almost never got sick. It happened a couple of times when he was under Schmidt’s command whom would sometimes get him beaten up so badly that his system would be down enough to let sickness enter his body. Since then, he can’t even remember if he’s been sick once. Oh well, not that it mattered at the moment. He had to take care of a sick Charles whom seemed like he had caught a really bad cold or something. Maybe that the German should call for Hank just to be sure that it isn’t anything bigger than that. You never know with mutants. Especially since this one is a telepath, he probably also is more at risk with head issues no?
Shaking his head a little as his friend inquired that he could be making that tea from himself, the metal-kine advised him not to move from that bed or he would force him back into it. He wasn’t kidding either. If he had to attach him to the bedpost, he would. Anything to keep him from making anything he would later regret. This wasn’t something he was being forced to do. Really, the man only wanted to help the Briton get back up on his feet as fast as possible.
"Now I’ll go downstairs to prepare that cup of tea of yours. Just reach out for me if your need anything while I’m away. I’ll call for Hank to come and check on you as well." He said before getting back up straight again and waiting for the younger man’s approval so he could leave that room.
Mutants indeed rarely are sick. Humans get sick all the time, for any possible reason. Lack of vitamins, change of weather, change of season... Still, when you are a mutant and get sick, even though it doesn't happen often, it is pretty violent. Just like now. Being sick, for a telepath, is one thing. It's even worse when you are called Charles Xavier. If there is one thing the Englishman hates, it is not to be able to have complete control over his mutation. At least there was no Frost around to play with his brain. Or any other telepath out there that would want to hurt him, even just a little. That was one of Charles' fear: hurting someone he cares for just because he is sick and now doesn't have complete control over his brain.
Erik shook his head. Of course he wouldn't let him make his own tea. No matter what people can say about this man being a monster or whatever else mean thing it could be, they are all wrong. This man is a gem. This is why his heart is beating so fast each time he is able to see him. With hopes that this time, he is not sending any weird sensation at the German. The younger mutant sighed at the words. No, he wanted to go out and make his own tea. There is no reason for the older one to make it for him; he is a grown man. The only thing he wanted to ask was the metal-bender to be there once he would be back with his cuppa so he could actually cuddle him. Yet he knew that all of this wasn't possible. His body wasn't cooperating to move out of the bed anyway. He finally nodded, allowing him to leave the room.
« Thank you, my friend. »
He let out with a soft smile. Once his friend out of the bedroom, it didn't take long for the telepath to reach him the best he could. There was one thing he forgot to ask. "Erik? Can you add a bit of honey in it, please?" Was the last thing he asked, almost feeling picky by asking such a simple thing. Still, he placed himself comfortably under the sheets, touched by the attention of his friend.
