ItteQ members had their fortunes for 2018 told in today’s episode. Tegoshi ranked 2nd and here’s what the dude had to say about him: “He has a great urge to stand out and becasue of that rather than group activities, his solo work shall increase. He should really do the things he wants to do without being influenced by others.” Imoto then asked about his private life saying he seems to play around too much and he said “That’s not going to change. I dare say that can’t be fixed in all his life.”

Damn, the guy’s already egocentric af, don’t encourage him, please!

2018.01.04 Bibitto

Bibitto clip was the best. Tegoshi pretended to walk away but Shige and Massu grabbed him and Shige was like, “Bitch, this is my show, don’t you dare!” but Koyama was soft like “My son is a little dumb, forgive him”. Then they gave this child a paper and asked him to draw NEWS’ aspirations for 2018. He delivered by drawing Emma-chan saying “To make a new concert”. Shigr was mean like “WTF is that monstrosity?” And they tried to figure out why this poor creature is so disfigured when finally Massu made Tegoshi do the same pose. Brilliant.

Happy 14th anniversary, NEWS!

This year is a vital point as all the members are already in their 30′s (well, you’re next Tegoshi. Very soon). Rather than a transition, I believe it’s another restart. Years ago, when the group became four, all of us depended on the words of comfort that we patiently gave each other–there were some activities, and it kept us alive, yet it was mostly the verbal assurances that we preserved our faith. Years later, the aftermath of the past was completely dissolved. No more fears, no more halts. NEWS is moving forward. NEWS is at the top of its game. I realized that now we are just like any successful fandom–our struggles are different this time. We see more scandals, encounter more haters, etc. We’ve become used to seeing them anytime, everywhere; we think they need some rest! A lesser time frame between releases–our standards are getting high! But we deal with these problems the same. We deal with it by showing a stronger love for the members and for the group. Our support is continuous. It should be, because NEWS’ adoration for us is mutual. #ProudFanHere #iKnowMyIdolsReallyLoveTheirFans

Furthermore, it’s not actually the numbers that we anticipate. I feel that NEWS is eternally between the senpai-kouhai line–see, they’ve matured in many ways but they’re waaaaay too youthful I can’t even ;; And despite their youthful quips, they aged really well! The balance was good, now it’s better, because:

Here’s some excerpts from Shige’s words on the topic of “Thank You”

Can you express your gratefulness to someone precious?

In the past I was shy and couldn’t say it but now I can. At the concert in Nagoya I lost my voice. The other 3 were very worried and helped me a lot. Nobody blamed me. Even though I was the only one at fault. When I think about it it’s a thin line between “Sorry” and “Thank you”… I am really grateful for the member’s existence and am thankful.

I often text Koyama and he says “Thank you” a lot. I’m someone who is said to not say “Thank you” but Tegoshi also rarely says it. (laugh) A “Thank you” from Massu… Ah! I have a designer friend and I asked him to make stickers with my portrait. When Koyama and Tegoshi saw this they said “I want it too!” so I asked my friend to make their versions but out of courtesy he also made one of Massu. I was worried he might get angry that his face was fiddled with but as I gave it to him saying “If you want it…” he got really happy and said “Thank you!”. I’m glad I gave it to him.

This is super neat. Someone put together the moments of synchronization phenomenon between Tegomass. This is only a FEW of so many moments, but it’s still adorable.

(*Synchronization phenomenon: when the way one talks or acts become synchronized with someone specific. It happens only between the one’s lover, best friend, or respected partner. On the other hand, this never occurs between someone that they are not close with or that they hate.)
