Need help!

My dog got infected by a tick that bit him a couple of days ago and is in an extremely bad condition right now. The medical bill for his treament is going to be at least 500$ and needs to be covered asap.

I would really appreciate it if you could consider commissioning me, or spreading the info around!

So…Basically my wallet got stolen today as I got off at a bus stop that stops right in front of a mall…You get where I’m going? Basically within the small amount of time that I realized I lost the wallet to getting it canceled someone managed to spend a good $100+ and put me in the negatives on my card. In order to get a new card and even be able to spend my money I need to get it out of the negatives… I’ve been wanting to open commissions lately, I just wish I had been able to open it under better circumstances. But please please please if you can, it’d be very welcome–Like without my card I can’t buy food or anything. It’s a serious problem. :“’ ( If you can’t buy anything can you at least show this around, get the word out. I really have nothing else I can do at this point, so please, help! Thank you!

So today at IHOP a white lady stepped in and insulted my mother for speaking Spanish. She told my mom to learn English Or get out of America.my mom does speak English with an accent though! White people piss me tf off.

Do yall here the pain in that woman’s voice (that woman who speaks Spanish)? That is the pain of someone who has worked day and night to make things happen for herself and her family in this god awful country only to have all of her work be spit on by some stale piece of bread who probably hasn’t had to do half of what the other woman does.

I know this pain well, especially being the child of two immigrant parents and seeing how people reacted when my parents spoke in their mother tongue or when they heard my parents accents. Suddenly any trust or expectations that any (mostly white) person had in them as an employee/house owner/worker etc. was just completely disregarded.

I’m sick and tired of this bullshit and I'ms sick and tired of associating “American” with “white and English speaking” because that’s not what it fucking is.

I’m not an excellent glazer but I do what I can... It doesn’t help that I’m quite the lazy painter-- (look at all that needs to be rendered)

But after a long drawn out conversation about how some people feel a bit disheartened when artists original characters don’t portray their written ethnicity I found that I....fall into that category- So I did something about it with this young Malay-Serbian-Irish lady with papery skin and dark elfish roots-

I hope it looks alright- I’m glad to be able to draw characters the way they appear in my head

French Police repeat: STAY INDOORS 

IMPORTANT: PLEASE DON’T USE THE “PORTEOUVERTE” HASHTAG UNLESS YOU ARE IN PARIS AND READY TO OPEN YOUR HOME TO PEOPLE ON THE STREET. TO SHARE NEWS, PRAYERS, THOUGHTS AND OTHER THINGS, USE A DIFFERENT HASHTAG OR WAY OF COMMUNICATING SO THAT PEOPLE LOOKING FOR SHELTER CAN EASILY FIND A WAY TO STAY. THANK YOU!

If you are in Paris right now and see someone who still needs help, who looks like they’re in shock or don’t feel well, there are paramedics on the street helping out anyone who doesn’t look well (looks shocked, dazed, etc..) Get the help you or other people might need!

  • 2 explosions and 3 shootings in Paris (10th and 11th arrondissement)
  • Apparently attacks took place on seven different locations. Locations on map: click here.
  • Current number of dead being communicated with the press: 126 people dead and 40 critically wounded. Hundreds of people were injured.
  • About 100 people were being held hostage at a concert venue (Bataclan) , which was later raided by police after some people contacted family members saying they were being shot one by one.  (UPDATE: ASSAULT ON BATACLAN IS OVER. TWO THREE TERRORISTS BOMBED THEMSELVES WHEN POLICE BARGED IN. 
  • New update: Eight terrorists are dead, seven committed suicide by bombs and one was gunned down by police.
  • At least 80 dead at Bataclan concert venue. – Injured are taken to hospitals across the city.
  • President Hollande traveled to Bataclan once the venue was ‘safe’.
  • Parisians: stay inside or find shelter if you’re still outside. (use the #PORTEOUVERTE hashtag to find shelter, people are opening their homes for you!!)
  • POLICE HAVE ASKED EVERYONE TO STAY INSIDE.
  • Police know nothing of the killers, the French media is making references to Charlie Hebdo but nothing is confirmed yet. Attackers were most likely IS recruits, but it is not officially confirmed yet. The attacks have not been claimed yet, but on Twitter, IS is tweeting about the event.
  • People were not allowed to leave stadium of Stade de France at first. They were allowed to go outside after a while.
  • Attacks nearby the stadium were supposedly made by suicide bombers. Two attacks: one at a McDonalds and one at a restaurant nearby. 
  • German football team was held up at stadium on the night of the attacks as borders are closed.
  • France has closed its borders (keep attackers from fleeing and keep outside threats out) and declared a national state of emergency. In regards to the closing of the borders: there is not a 100% closing, but there is heightened security and thorough screening taking place.
  • Schools, museums, libraries, gyms, swimming pools, markets etc will be closed tomorrow, Saturday.
  • Lights of the Tour d’Eiffel have been turned off in memory of those who’ve lost their lives tonight.
  • Hospitals have started up the ‘Plan Blanc’, a plan to get all hospitals ready for those who are injured (by cancelling all minor operations, requisitioning the whole medical staff, etc). 

PARISIANS/PARISIENNES

  • Night buses N11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 out of service, according to police twitter (reddit). 
  • Metro: Lines 3,5,8,9, and 11 have been closed.
  • Taxis and other drivers are driving around for free bringing people home/off the streets.
  • #porteouverte: hashtag used for people on the streets who can’t go home; others are opening their homes for you, use the hashtag!
  • Facebook: “I’m safe” function for Paris attacks to let friends and family know you’re safe.
  • FREE PARISIAN EMERGENCY NUMBER: 0 800 40 60 05. 

“The French police have been alerted to keep an eye on refugee centers, in case revenge actions are committed. KEEP IN MIND THIS IS WHAT THESE PEOPLE ARE FLEEING FROM, DON’T LET THEM SUFFER FOR IT.” Keep an eye on your local refugee shelters as well. This can be important both in and out of Paris.

WIP Character for AA-

I thought i would indulge in some digi painting while i’m in paris.

A little rusty but a lot quicker- Just a little over 90mins (not including sketching)

Still not done but I’ve named her Luciene ( or Lucine?) but she'll insists you refer to her as ‘Ms. (Insert lastname)’ and nothing else.

So far all i know is she’s low spoken, sophisticated, and…

almost deaf in the left ear

Little things i thought of as i began to make her. Will draw more soon-
