The soft squeezes to his form were calming, each one helping him remember to inhale deep and exhale slow, soon regaining the ability to speak with one last strained cough. 
Any other night, he would have said no, considering he was a grown turtle and didn’t want to be a bother to anyone….but tonight? For one night… he could swallow his pride for tonight.
It takes him a moment, but he finally nods slowly, pulling away from her enough for him to see her face, but his hand lingers on her arm. Biting his lower lip, he eventually pulled away from her completely, not really wanting to look in her direction. 
“ ….thanks Ange. “ he muttered, shifting to sit next to Angel’s bed.

“Course Mikes. Anytime.” Her voice dropped to a whisper as she began to get comfy in her bed again. Once wrapped in her blankets, she scooted a little closer to the edge of the bed and drooped an arm off. Angel audibly patted the side of the bed and opened her hand for him to hold as an extra comfort if need be. “G’night Mikey.”
