“My words, if it isn’t kyouko! what a pleasant surprise. I was beginning to think that you were dead.” honestly, she was a bit baffled to see the redhead still standing, given how prone she was to getting in trouble.
she supposes that wasn’t a bad thing though. because frankly, she quite missed her (not that she’d admit it up front). despite their rocky relationship, homura has always found the magi’s presence to be incredibly amusing.
“If I may, just what are you doing out in the rain?” kneeling down, with an umbrella in hand, homura softens her usual dreary eyes. she doesn’t usually bother herself with such trivial matters. outside of madoka, everyone else just seemed insignificant.
however, the child whom she had come across stood in such a dreadful (and perhaps unsettling) manner, the demon couldn't help but feel a sense of remorse. she even went her way so as to include the child under her umbrella, despite already being drenched.
“my, and just where do you think you’re going?” she dangles the rodent without restraint -- swaying them back and forth in a teasing, yet unpleasant manner.
“I sure hope you weren’t intending to slip away under my watch. that would make me incredibly upset. and we wouldn’t want that, now would we?” knowing well enough of the incubator’s intentions, she tightens her grip so as to prove a point.
“oh? what’s with the scary face? it’ll get stuck like that if you don’t lessen up, you know.” or maybe he was just born grouchy. she doubted that was the case though. he most likely wanted something from her. what for was beyond her. though she’ll just go ahead and guess that he wasn’t here to ask for directions.

“Sorry, nobody’s here.” lying before the demon, she quickly retreats back to her layers of blanket. it wasn’t so much intended to be convincing, but it should at least give a hint that she wasn’t accepting guests at the moment.
unless it was madoka. she’s more than welcome to accept madoka into her humble home. and by humble home she meant her blankets.

eyes wander to the child whose eyes have been so keen on the devil’s hair length. “…yes. I am…quite aware that it is.” while perhaps a bit weirded her out, she supposes it wasn’t unusual for a child to become curious over the simplest of things.

That wasn’t really WHY Ayumu didn’t like long hair. It just annoyed her. Though being 4, she had strange phrases for just about anything and everything. Therefore, to her, the correct way to describe it was that it was itchy to her.
“ It not make you itchy? ”
“No, but that’s mainly because I take care of it.” though it could also be simply because of how long she’s had it for. nonetheless, long hair was difficult to take care of. if not maintained the right away, it can quickly become a burden. it takes a great deal of time and patience to get used to it, which makes the child’s distaste for it understandable.
though that’s enough of that. it’s getting a bit awkward just talking about hair. “…shouldn’t you be with you parents?”
