this really hit me and I thought it was worth sharing

instead of “fuck I gotta clean”, I think “i deserve to live in a clean space”. Instead of “ugh i gotta workout”, I tell myself “I deserve to live a healthy life with the people I love”. so many things we can accomplish by reframing out mindset.

My best/favorite teacher would literally take off the points for a question that the majority of the class got wrong from the total on the test and then hold a lesson on the topic because she realized if 90% of her students didn’t know the answer then she hadn’t done a good job teaching it.

I hate it when teachers take pride in having a large percentage of students get bad grades in their classes. It just means that students aren’t learning from you

Seriously, sleep is not for the weak though. Sleep is very important and it should be a priority if possible. Naps are good and important. Sleep, when you have mental health issues, is often a difficult thing, but don’t fear sleep. Sleep doesn’t make you weak, it helps your brain be strong and it helps you regulate your emotions and process the events around you better.

The worst thing is that there are people who love to go on and on about how much public school messed them up, but then someone talks about homeschooling as a better alternative and they freak out with how much they hate homeschooling and will never homeschool their children.

Like, you were bullied, given anxiety, pushed into depression, targeted by teachers who were not interested in actually helping you learn, had your creativity smothered, and/or hurt in some other way by this system... And you're going to put your kids through that same thing?

Let’s not fail to mention autistic kids??? Like I have witnessed with my own two eyes autistic kids being held down, locked in dark rooms alone, physically abused, isolated, and haven’t there been autistic kids who were killed at school by this treatment BY teachers, and the teachers weren’t even fired because you know, if it’s autistic kids, it’s all completely fine?????
