So Bonus moved to his new owner last Friday and now I only have one horse, it feels strange but good. He has an injury that means he won’t stay sound for the kind of work I want to do but his new owners will use him as more of a hobby horse and that will for him perfectly. I was about to sell him anyway because he grew to 17’3 hh closing in on 18 hh so he would have been too big for me.

I don’t have anywhere else to rant on this but I just saw the latest GoT episode and the ensuing whining about “character assassination” re: Dany and her ahem actions, but you guys can’t honestly say this was a plot twist and you never saw it coming? This has been building since season one, come on people. It was expected! She was never going to be the benevolent saviour, she has said since day one that she will burn every city down to ashes. LITERALLY said those words. This is so true to character I would have been surprised if she had done differently.

Just read an article about horse feeding by the equine nutritional specialist who worked with Valegro who said he got super unhappy when they put him on a diet to slim him down so he had to stay on a 6-6,5 value wise. Bless him and his meatball body! 😂
Also our new kitchen is finished, save for some curtains and a rug. We bought the rug today, just need to put it in there!
I know I’m way less drama (or you know, any action at all) these days but let’s be real, it’s still funny as hell watching someone you despise fuck up their test royally.
Spending my Sunday putting stuff into this beauty
If you’re an adult, do the stuff you couldn’t as a kid.
Like, me and my sister went to a museum, and they had an extra exhibit of butterflies. But it cost £3. So we sighed, walked past, then stopped. We each had £3. We could see the butterflies. And we did it was great. We followed it up with an ice-cream as well because Mum and Dad weren’t there to say no.
I was driving back from a work trip with 2 other people in their early 20s, and we drove past a MacDonalds. One of the others went “Aww man, I’d love a McFlurry.” And the guy driving pulled in to the drive through. It was wild. But it was great.
I went to a park over the weekend and I was thinking “Man, I’d love to hire one of those bikes and cycle round the park.” It took me a few minutes to go “Wait, I can hire one of those bikes!”
I guess what I’m saying is, those impulsive things you wanted to do as a kid - see the dinosaur exhibit, play in the fountains with the other kids, lie in the shade for 2 hours - you can do when you’re an adult. You have to deal with a whole lot of other bull, but at least you can indulge your inner 8 year-old.
