"Gee, y’know, I would, but my hands are kind of full right now." Jimmy shot back. And he wasn’t lying. He was in the process of kneading bread dough to be sat out to rise, a wooden cutting board in the middle of the table he stood at doused in a generous amount of flour. It was such a familiar task he hardly even had to think about it at this point. However, there was still flour dusted on his trousers, shirt, arms, and even his cheeks. But he wasn’t concerned with that. All he was concerned with was completing the chore and getting as far away from her as possible.

           ”It has become evident to me…                   that you Americans have no                   clue of how one must react                   to real art.”

         But her words are spoken slowly, with very little           meaning in them. She keeps her face blank, not           allowing the girl to see her emotions. If this girl           truly held talents beyond the normal capabilities           of the human mind, surely she would be able to            know. As if they didn’t all already know the way           Elsa felt by the way she walked the grounds in           a mortified and forlorn state. 

               Why were people always afraid? Not of her, but                of the snakes. It didn’t make sense to her, at all.                She loved the beings like they were her children.                They had saved her life. How could people have                such a general fear of them? Most of the snakes                she handled were poisonous but there she was,                still alive. That should only further they were good,                sensible creatures because that was the truth.

            “I don’t believe we have met, Maggie…              and yes, you’re right. I’m Amelia, the              Snake Charmer of the show. You can              call me ‘Melia, Amy or Ames or any              other variant of my name, if you’d like.”

Dandy came this day to lite a tent of fire.    He still held a bitter grudge against the freaks. He paused when she spoke.

"A reading?"

Dandy walked in and looked her over.
