Loki had only heard about the astronomy club a few days ago and ever since he’d been on a mission to attend a meeting. It was one of his secret passions that he’d mostly treated as a hobby but any chance to discuss space and stars with a fellow intellectual was welcomed. So upon hearing of this club Loki had gathered resolve to perhaps make a friend of like interest.
On the day, he finished up his lectures and made it down to the science wing where it was said to be held. Loki slipped inside the small auditorium and into a chair in the back of the room. The meeting had started already, most members discussing a new publication about supernovae. He listened, not looking to chime in yet though he had plenty of opinions, when his eyes fell on a very familiar face. At the head of the group stood a professor Loki had seen walking around the department. He was a kind looking man, shy, a little disheveled and always looked like he could use a good nap… Or a good fuck. It took a moment to pull his name from Loki’s memory but eventually it was there. Dr Bruce Banner. He was brilliant, talanted, and loved by many students. Loki admired the man, losing track of the conversation about stars to focus on Bruce instead. There was a sort of softness and vulnerability in him that Loki was unfamiliar with but wanted to explore.
The meeting passed quickly and soon people were getting up to stretch. Loki imagined it must have been informative but somewhere between black holes and galaxy collisions he’d lost track of everything but the man at the head of the group.
As others filed out he didn’t want to leave without at least saying something. Loki mustered up blind courage and managed to casually walk up to Dr Banner. “Not bad.” He started, a grin on his face he only reserved when flirting. “You have me interested, Dr Banner. Had I known you led this little gem of a club before Monday I might have come sooner.”
