He frowns a bit. “Who am I gonna tell I can ya know barely see” He reaches out and completely misses her face entirely for a boop. “We’re a team, Vel”

Velvet grabbed his hand, directing it to her nose, “That’ll spoil all the fun though.”

Leading his finger from her nose to the top of her head, he started to gently pat her. “Spoiling the fun it’s not nice to keep secrets but fine you did keep it under wraps for two years.”

He frowns a bit. “Who am I gonna tell I can ya know barely see” He reaches out and completely misses her face entirely for a boop. “We’re a team, Vel”

She tilted her head as she watched him consider what she’d said.  There was plenty to consider.  She knew it quite well.  Someone just appearing to talk about Mercury well it was certainly interesting.

“Potentially.”  She inclined her head.  “That depends on if you see a reason for her to be useful.”

Mercury leaned back against the wall reaching out for the comic. his charcoal eyes narrowed a bit as if she was well doubting his decision. “We can use her as a liability for her team and her Uncle and father plus didn’t Neo say her mother got involved as well?”

He knew this was a test to see why he should allow himself into a relationship with such a adversary but it was needed to talk her out of meddling.

“Useful enough to discard like a broken bitch plus I’ll kill her before she could try or know anything.”

“Oh Mercury.    If it was Emerald she would have found you.  No it’s not her.  It’s a member of Team RWBY.”

His ears perked up on the team that kept meddling in their affairs so, she had a hing for him. Though rumor had it she had a thing for Emerald as well but hey males win am I right? Well he wasn’t going to pass up on fucking and manipulating a blonde killing her in the end would be so much sweeter so he gave a frown nodding in a bit of approval and shrugged once more.

“So is that my queue to sweeten up the blonde to be useful to us?”

Mercury brought his hands together and did his best to sound pathetic, “oh I’m so sorry then, I didn’t realize it was just a job!” He forced little crocodile tears out of his eyes, “how foolish of me to impose some kind of… conscience upon you when you’re just a hard working man, doing an honest days work!”

His tone quickly shifted, “oh wait, that’s just what you’ve kept telling yourself over the years to take the sting of guilt away from yourself.” He walked closer to the other Mercury, “it’s pretty pathetic, don’t you think?” His grin was bigger than ever.

Tch Yeah this was getting annoying with his twin staring back at him patronizing him for the jobs assigned they were just faceless hired hits nothing more nothing less their voices were something he dint’ want to hear so why was this one here and well

Speaking to him like he was the better half. Mercury paused closing his eyes a bit and smiled “Just keep to your side and I will mine.”

“ I love you so much to kill you” He murmured sarcastically rolling the barrel of his shot gun of greaves.

Turning to face the grey haired youth, Roman dropped the cigar to the floor before using the end of melodic cudgel to grind it. He wasn’t sure whether or not to be angry or amused at the way the boy was talking. Yes, he could see talent inside Mercury, much of it in fact. But he still seemed to lack some experience.

“Yes well maybe if I could get some people with actual experience in stealing things unlike those White Fang mutts then I wouldn’t have been delayed in getting it done. Oh deary, he had his bags packed and a ticket to fly away.” 

Spinning the cane around on his finger, he let it land softly on his shoulder where he could easily aim and take a quick shot if needed.

“Are you not aware that there are ways to get to a person even on an airship?”

A scowl arose from the assassins lips the stench of the cigar smog was seriously discomforting, seriously did Roman have nothing to do but puff away at the useless packed tobacco? Whatever the sooner he died the better.

Charcoal optics narrowed into a sharpen glare as he watched the swindlers swing his weapon at ease, as if Mercury would ever lower his guard around this prick. “It’s not my choosing who we hire plus, didn’t you chose not to steal money? we’re short on funds” 

Ugh talking to this asshole was getting on his nerves let alone breath the same air as him--lets face it if they both could they both be killing one another right now--but they weren’t were they?

Favorite Partnership: Emerald + Mercury.

Pulling his cigar from his lips, the crime lord breathed out a small puff of smoke as he closed his eyes. Cinder’s boy was stepping a bit outside of his zone, and as far as Roman was concerned he should stay chained up and heel at his mistress’s heel but he decided this time he would humor the boy.

“Oh? And shooting a unarmed faunus mutt in the face midair is something to be so proud of? Yes, it must have taken so much skill.”

The sarcasm in his voice flowed thick and obvious, not even attempting to hide the disdain and annoyance that came with it.

“I honestly think he was a puma or something” He replied dryly rolling his eyes as he watched the ringleaders movements carefully honestly. He could take Roman but  that was effort and Cinder wouldn’t like him touching...the asshole supplying them with old arsenal.  Did he not get the memo or did Cinder just forget to tell him? Either way it wasn’t Mercury’s problem.

“Also if you had done the job earlier we wouldn’t have to stepped in,  Cinder isn’t too happy with the production on said such “praised” named you carry such a difficult title for a fraud.”
