It's finally here, my contribution for the lovely people of haikyuu fandom after months of reading fanfiction everyday. This is a list of my absolutely favorite, 10/10 fanfics that made me leave keyboard smash comments. Most of these are G-T rated and all of them are SFW. I put a 💜 next to the ones with asexual rep just because I can. Also I will be uploading this list when I find new good fics (instead of making new posts everytime i'll just edit this post). Lawlu:

the thing that remains by tciddaemina - Law POV of the series, a slight canon divergence fic that gets further from canon as it goes. Probably my favorite Lawlu fic out of the whole bunch. The writing is Very good and I am very fond of this characterization of Law. Underrated.

Breathe and And Breathe Again by cywscross - Law helps Luffy through a panic attack/flashback. Luffy POV, then Law’s. Cross always delivers and this is no exception. Both Luffy and Law’s inner voice sound great,  I like that Luffy is the one on the angst train this time. I feel like these fics really illustrate what I like about lawlu in the first place.

What Is This Thing You Call An Alliance? by cywscross - Kidd’s POV on lawlu after Wano. Great all around.

The Only Truths That Matter by cywscross - Post-Dressrosa Law then Luffy POV.

Sutures by Arowen12 - Lots of fanon interpretation but really good nonetheless. I like the interactions here.

Into the Sea by shishiswordsman - Luffy and Law get thrown into the sea with an unstable and limited amount of air.

Boyhood Blues by petiteneko - A change in Law and the ASL brother’s backstory causes some canon divergence and a shift in dynamics. Law is a cold bitch as he should be.

Heart Beats Slow by m_rosenkov - Focuses on Law and his Issues. There are some memorable interactions here.

heart of clay by trell (qunlat) - I’ve never bought into the idea that Law would be okay after Dressrosa, and here’s a heavy fic to illustrate that.

To Worry by feriowind - Short Law POV on their relationship.

Transit by  ST_Osmanthus - Unfinished adventure fic.

A Million Ways To Feel by killingmonsterswritingthings - Law talks to Luffy about injury.

Again by Kireeeshima - Unfinished time travel fic. I like how bad shit Luffy is in this one and how stressed Cora-san and Law are over it lmao.

The Trouble With Eastern by teaandtumblr - Very sweet, and I am a Slut for the idea that different languages exist in the op universe.

I know you by the state of your hands by thepatchmatrix - Angsty time travel fic. Everyone’s here but I particularly like the Heart crew’s interactions.

Non-lawlu:

Small Changes by SweetScentences - Might be my favorite One Piece fic period. A Cora-san lives story with great characterizations. Another story exploring the idea that different languages exist in the op universe. The Heart crew’s formation is very sweet and well done. The Law Novel? I don’t know her, all I know is Small Changes by Sweetscentences. 

Excision by freckledshoulderblades - Modern AU where Law runs a clinic and some bad shit happens. I was slightly triggered by this fic, but that’s because the descriptions of having a Bad Time™ were that good.

Shoot the Moon by Sarcasticles - A short study on Law and his luck.

The Beginning of a Certain End by codedredalert - Time travel story where Law meets the kid versions of Cora and Doffy. The characterizations are great, and another fic where there are different languages??? I can’t get enough.

Lionheart by cyan96 - If you like Law you’ve probably already read this. Time travel fic where little Law transports himself and a dying Cora-san onto Law’s submarine. The writing is great, the sensory descriptions in particular really put you in the moment. Everyone’s reactions feel really real and it manages to be funny despite the heavy subject matter.

The Woods by Loyal as a Book - Kid Law meets kid ASL fic. This was written before some details of canon where known, but a very fun ride nonetheless. I like that Law and the ASL brothers don’t like each other lmao.

It started with a Storm… by  NaomiX_chan - Luffy gets adopted by Cora and Law fic. The author’s first language isn’t English, so there are some mistakes, but a sweet fic with fun interactions anyway.

disaster in the making (we’re not sorry for it) by guiltylights - Warlord meeting with Hancock, Doflamingo and Law.
