i say this all of the time, but as soon as you start to ascend to higher heights, you will be treated differently. you will be subjected to little comments here or there. you will be made to feel small or that your aspirations are a reach. you will see people jump at the opportunity to criticize, not out of care, not out of necessity, but out of insecurity.

when you’re so above the bare minimum, your success and it factor will always be overwhelming to other people. they are used to complacency and coddling themselves through life. your standards only seem like "too much" because everyone else is used to doing less.

people who aren't happy for you aren't happy for themselves either. remember that.
