the raven cycle is hilarious because blue and gansey are living in a coming of age romcom and adam and ronan are living in a supernatural horror film and then when they all hang out it immediately turns into an 80s treasure hunting brotherhood flick. and then they go their separate ways and adam and ronan immediately start battling the horrors again while blue and gansey eat yogurt

bro throughout opal’s story i was like damn im kind of surprised ronan isnt more outwardly upset about adam leaving soon. like he was just being framed more chill about it than i would have expected. even internally. but then ronan made the comment about how all his dream creations are a part of him and i realized opal was literally screaming crying throwing up digging her hooves into adam about him leaving and i was like oh my god…. opal is the part of ronan that wants desperately for adam to stay…. im sick to my stomach

adam getting stuck in a “love triangle” in book one and then getting stuck in an entirely different love triangle (while still being in the previous one) in book two and then ending up single in the third book is so iconic (and depressing)
