i made some printable sumo-navi's based on a scene in the anime. where count zap and mr match were playing paper sumo

basically its a simplified version of origami sumo, I'll toss some explanations on how to fold them (and a lil extra work for elecman) under the cut

I felt like the one page size was a little small so thats why i made a two page version as an option.

i think one of the most important things you learn about making connections with others is that a significant portion of the time people just do not know theyre doing what theyre doing

sometimes someone is acting selfish because they just didnt think you had any interest in what theyre hogging. sometimes you dont get invited to the movies because your friend could have sworn that you said no. sometimes you think someone is mad at you because theyre bad at hiding how little sleep they got. we are all like little worlds that briefly crash into one another from time to time and we just arent physically capable of seeing the whole picture at once in those moments. and learning that really changed everything!

In my head, I call this "vase of flowers" thinking.

See, when I started driving, I would get irritated by people who drove Soooo Slowly... like, the ones who slow down to 10 MPH to take a turn kind of slow. And then one day I was taking a vase of flowers to an event, and even though I'd strapped it in carefully you can bet I was taking the turns extra carefully to keep it from tipping over, slowing way down, and... oh.

And, like, there are definitely unpleasant people in the world. There are definitely people who are toxic, or just don't care about other people, or have a pattern of hurtful behavior. But there are a lot of people who are just trying to deliver a vase of flowers.

gotta say i don't like how many "how to pass ftm" guides are straight up just like. be monotone and uninterested and don't engage in your "feminine" hobbies and don't wear bright colors and don't be polite and don't smile at people and don't show emotion ever. like how precisely is this a healthy thing to be teaching people (especially the young people these are often targeted at)??? i am a bubbly boy. a cheerful chap. a merry man. a good-humored guy. a glowing gent. a veritable ray of fucking sunshine and i am NOT toning that down!!!! fuck you!!!!!!!

I don't think some ppl understand that when disabled ppl say that it takes a lot of work to do something they're saying that it's a lot harder for them to do it than it is for you. To you it's a 20 minute task, for me it will take 2 hours minimum. All it takes from you to do it is cleaning supplies. Meanwhile it costs me a meltdown, very sore muscles, and 2 days of rest after. There's also a good chance I will forget to eat, drink, or use the bathroom while I'm doing it. When I say it's hard for me to do something I mean it's hard I don't mean that I don't want to do it.

i will say if you don't have an eye for what ai art vibes are then you're not gonna catch it a lot of the time and its not your fault for being a normal person and just seeing art for 5 seconds like oh this vibes w me and hitting rb

like earlier today i fell for some ai art and its like. its not my fault its getting really good at what its supposed to do which is fool humans.

What an odd take. "Oh, I accidentally appreciated something I shouldn't have, how embarrassing, better warn everyone", as if just liking it is a crime against artists. Tumblr talks about AI art the way Christians talk about porn.

firstly I don't think that's true or fair at all. I'm speaking about ai art as an artist with artist friends who make their living off of art. its a completely different perspective but your point is flawed anyway:

like if you saw some porn and was like "oh that's hot" then it turned out to be someone who is like 16 or something you wouldn't say "oh well im here may as well watch the whole thing" like no you're gonna feel weird about it and leave.

but anyway back to the main point, for ai art its like seeing a technically good painting and being like "oh this looks good!" then finding out its computer generated its like. of course its fucking good looking its a computer program generating content by stealing other peoples art and mashing it together. Like i feel so stupid and a little ashamed for falling for this trink.

but on a higher level its worse still because ive had friends who have commissioned some small new artist on twitter only to find out their art was ai generated. its a scam.

its easy to see a text post on the internet and try to dunk on them for it but sometimes its actually worth looking at a post and using the brain you have for its intended purpose

Guess what?

Sometimes no matter how hard disabled people try, they can’t do some things. Just because you’ve seen other disabled people “overcome” some things related to their disability doesn’t mean you get to think other disabled people aren’t trying “hard enough” if they can’t.

Every disabled person is different. And honestly, disabled people shouldn’t have to hurt themselves in the process of “overcoming” their disability to be seen as valid in your eyes.

Disabled people are always worthy, regardless of what they can and can’t do.

For those of you not aware Mercury Stardust, Point of Pride, and friends are raising funds for Trans Healthcare.

Unfortunately, some TikTok peeps are being complete transphobic bastards and are reporting the lives and getting the accounts banned. The appeals are being rejected.

This hinders getting the word out on this fundraiser.

Make sure you donate if you can or at least share the link in your circles so people are aware and hopefully the message can reach a wider audience
