  • Prices will depend on how complex the design is- how many thread colours I need, how long it’ll take, how much detail will be required- but for a one-figure design that can be simplified relatively easily, it’d be around £35-40 (about $54 to $60). If you want more than one figure, it’ll probably cost more.
  • This is for a hand-drawn, hand-embroidered piece of work that could take me anything between a week and several weeks of work. Charging much less would make it really not worth it for me. HOWEVER- if the character design you want is very simple, I might be able to do it for less. I’d have to look at it and judge for myself how much work it’d be before I could make an estimate.
  • I can also add any text you want to the image- the character’s name, a quote, a personal message if you want to make it a gift, anything. Text is quick and easy so it’ll make very little difference to the price unless it’s a really huge chunk of text.
  • If you’re looking for ideas, take a look at my embroidery tag for inspiration.
  • Some general restrictions:

-Faces. In the medium I’m working in, on this scale (about 13cm high), faces are just not worth it. Unless your character is a cartoon with highly simplified features (in which case I might be able to do it), it will look much better without a face than with. Characters with recognisable hairstyles/costumes/accessories are a much better bet.

-Complicated fabric patterns. If the character is only going to be recognisable with a detailed fabric pattern as part of their costume- probably not worth it. If it’s something very simple and stylised (see Heather Chandler’s skirt, above) I can maybe do it.
