Taylor Swift knows how fickle fame can be

WITH the countdown on for the Australian leg of her world tour, Taylor Swift says she takes nothing for granted.

The 25-year-old is arguably the world’s biggest pop star, releasing hit after hit, and to most it would seem she’s unstoppable.

“Oh, that is such an illusion,” Swift tells the latest issue of Vogue Australia, showing off a look more fashion vamp than pop idol. “The public could change their minds about me tomorrow. Things are good right now but I’m never going to be stupid, foolish or ignorant enough to think I have control over the public.”

Swift is set to kick off her Australian tour at ANZ Stadium on November 28 and is rumoured to be the major international guest at this year’s ARIA Awards just a couple of nights prior.

“All I can control is making good music,” she told the mag, in stores next Monday.

“I am so lucky that people seem to like me right now but in no way, shape or form is it a permanent thing. And I think being aware of that is what keeps you on the game.”

Swift emerged on the scene with her eponymous album in 2006, breaking through as a country crossover artist globally.

She’s released an album every two years since then but says she may take a break after her world tour wraps in Australia on December 12.

“Then I’ll feel like I’ll need to give people a breather from me,” she explained.
