The two walked in companionable silence, the larger of them a few paces ahead as his ears swiveled in surveillance. This was how it usually was; always on the move, always on the alert. After numerous times of being ambushed and nearly snuffed out from the world, Omanatl and Sacrum had become sufficient enough in surviving the harsh dangers that the Scarred Wasteland had to offer.
Sure, there were days where they went without food or water. There were also times when one of them would get sick or injured, and they were forced to wait it out, even in the barest of shelters. But they were alive, and that was enough in their opinions.

Have an art thing - a bust of crookfish's/Skreel's Ghirad'hamus for winning the Plague Beauty Contest. It was a lot of fun to work on! The only thing I hated was having to do it on my decrepit laptop while I repair the hard drive on my desktop.
