Allistar’s Return (Closed RP)

Listening with the most content hes felt in awhile he purred, gently shaking the extended hand with small excitement. Yellow hues turning back to the garden, taking it in like the smell of coffee in the morning.
“Ye must be very proud… I would be” he stated with his tail resting upon the grass now that hes moved to sit upon it.

“I was. I once told you that as a youngling, my father permitted me a small courtyard space in which to plant an assortment of flora. I treasured being allowed to nurture them from seeds and saplings. Thus, this garden is reminiscent of those days.” He’s just going to leave out the part where it was the only occasion that Golo ever let him leave the house and even then it wasn’t into the outside grounds but rather in an enclosed courtyard with high walls. He’s also going to leave out the part that Golo used to kill his plants when he was angry with the child he was painstakingly rearing.

Shifting and looking up at his friend, a thought ran across his hues "ever think of maybe extending yer garden more?" He suggests. "That way ye can garden more and still admire the work ye have already done."

Allistar’s Return (Closed RP)

The gave the other devil a bit of relief “I’m sorry i can’t remember something so important” he breathed but began purring as he moved to sit by him.
“Ye like flowers ? ” he asked wanting to know him as he’d known him before.

“I do. Yes,” Ludo confirmed softly, and after a momentary pause, felt that such an answer was insufficiently short, especially given the situation. Allistar had once known far more than that. It was only fair he should again so he continued: “You once knew… That I grew this garden myself. How I put so much work into every new bud and blade of grass. I had no interest in using my power to assist me. I wanted to do it by hand.”

Ludo looked at Allistar with a gentle reserved look and extended his hand. “You also knew me as Ludwig. Amongst other things.”

Allistar’s Return (Closed RP)

He simply shook his head at the questions “I’m afraid I don’t remember a thing about ye boy-o ” he sighs and crosses his arms a bit uncomfortable with this situation. “I only know the feeling of happiness yer company brings” the Scottish devil purred and his tail drooped into the lush grass at his feet. “Were we friends? Family? Help me” he frowned searching the others eyes but not finding his answers…. In fact he wasn’t finding anything at all in those crystal eyes.

Naturally Ludo wanted to be honest with Allistar. This was obviously a disturbing development in Allistar’s life, or rather it could potentially be if confronted with truths that would undoubtedly cause him heartache and pain. It would be wise to keep in mind that the first time they had met, Allistar was ready to storm the gates of Heaven and die after being rejected by an angelic lover he had pined for deeply.

A pining that had extended to Ludo in turn, resulting in the entirely awful experience of Allistar’s emotional fragility and his attempts to force himself into Ludo’s heart, which when failed, had triggered a mental breakdown for the Scottish Devil… Honesty was always an assurance with Ludwig, so he would tell Allistar exactly what he wanted to know, but he would hold a number of things back. Both for Allistar’s sake, and his own since the opportunity had presented itself.

He sighed at first, rubbing the bridge of his nose. If Allistar had been able to remember him, he would have noticed that Ludo seemed a bit more humanistic in his body language than whilst they had know each other.

“We were friends yes. Our friendship was not without it’s tensions and differences, but after some time we came to see that we could rely on one another when necessary.“

The gave the other devil a bit of relief "I'm sorry i can't remember something so important" he breathed but began purring as he moved to sit by him.

"Ye like flowers ? " he asked wanting to know him as he'd known him before.

Allistar’s Return (Closed RP)

The once broken devil had made his way through the shrubbery, tail flicking with slow caution back and forth. He’d followed this trail, a trail that his heart knew but to his eyes was strange and he felt more like he’s getting more and more lost.
Yellow hues searching for the answer his heart was screaming for. It wasn’t long before he’d entered a small gated area and found his gaze on another sin. His body froze and his lips fell into a frown, he was looking at the other like he wasn’t the slightest familiar until their eyes met. Allistar was then suddenly awake in his mind “Sorry…. I thought I was suppose to come ‘ere….ye see I’m lookin’ for somethin’ ….but I don’t know what that is? But” he paused and took a step forward and offered a smile that had been long lost. The Greedy sin smiled at him like that day they’d first met and his eyes lit up with his sweet naive; playful, loving glow and he continued. “I think it might be you.”

Already something was wrong here. The first expression that lingered in the set lines of Allistar’s face when Ludo looked up, made it obvious that the Prince was unrecognisable as someone from his past whom he’d once called friend. Had Allistar forgotten him voluntary, or was there an eternal force? The words that followed; even with that reassuring and much happier smile that had gotten lost somewhere along the way in the Scottish devil’s life; only confirmed the possibility that Ludwig had been forgotten by Allistar. Remembered on a subconscious level evidently, as why else would Allistar try to seek him out as he did. This situation needed further analysis whilst Ludwig was unsure of how best to proceed.

“Allistar… How much are you able to recall about me? About our… interactions from the past?”

Allistar’s Return (Closed RP)

It was as familiar as it was unfamiliar. The old scent. Somehow different but still unmistakably his. The last time Ludwig had seen Allistar had been in a pool of his own blood amidst what was left of his Hellhounds, bar one. The same one that had thought Ludwig responsible for the massacre in Allistar’s home and the near death of it’s master. Perhaps in a way, Ludwig was. The scottish Devil would never have been caused as much pain as he had been through those last few months had he never interacted with Ludwig. The young Prince had left Allistar and had not visited again, wanting to give the one time to heal and think. But then weeks turned to months which became over a year and still Allistar did not enter his realm again. Perhaps he had decided that Ludo was not worth the continued association, not that Ludwig would fault him for that.

But now, his sudden reappearance in his domain spoke rather contrary of that belief, unless Allistar was here to get some kind of closure; to be able to look Ludwig in the eye a final time before moving on to whatever he was doing in the material plane. But Ludwig was not one to jump to rash conclusions and so he went out into his garden and sat down on a stone bench with a book and waited for Allistar to approach as he was traversing the paths in the young Devil’s unsettling forest. Every now and again, he would look up towards the tree line to see if the familiar brightly coloured hair had appeared against the dark greenery before looking down at his book again, unable to read properly as he was too curious at what he would see and discover once Allistar had made it to where he was sat in wait.
