This quote, to me, also seemed to apply to the Doctor as much as Kazran (even though the Doctor isn’t necessarily broken-hearted). He may be without Rose (“broken heart”), but he feels glad for the time he had with her. If he didn’t meet Rose, he would have turned into a monster (“no heart”), consumed by the guilt from the Time War. So even though it hurt him a lot inside to lose her, he’d rather have and lose her than never have her at all.

vera needs a new laptop asap.

i debated doing this all day, but if i can get some help with this, it would be fantastic. as some of you may know, i’m a graphic designer ( currently interning! ), which means i design pretty things ( like logos, web layouts, presentations, ect ). this also means that the most important thing in my possession is my computer. and i really need a new one. as of recently my screen has been bugging out randomly, which, is obviously worrying. i’ve also already had an issues the battery swelling in the past, the screen freezing on start-up mode, and the mousepad going crazy.

ultimately, my laptop is old, and i’m not sure how much longer it will hold up. a good few months at least, but the sooner i can replace it ( & use it for personal nonsense rather than said nonsense and work related stuff ) the better. where i’m working, they don’t have a computer, at present, to provide me. it’s being looked into, but until then, i’m working from the laptop i got back in 2010 when i first attended university. if i didn’t have to juggle work related projects on here, it wouldn’t matter as much. but the bottom line is, if my laptop goes, i can’t work. i don’t get paid.

as it is i don’t get paid much as i’m not a full-time employee. so! this is why i’ve turned to the lovely people on tumblr. no, this is not a life or death situation ( yet ) but any help i can get in order to buy a new laptop so i can keep working without wondering if it’s going to turn on, crash, or just completely die, thus making all my work files lost, forever. i don’t expect to get the full amount i need for a new laptop, but since i only get paid bi-weekly ( $250 ) it would take a while to save up, since about half of that goes to gas for my car, and my sunpass account, as i need to take the highway to get to work.

it costs about $1500 for the laptop i want, that comes with everything i need to work comfortably, plus the apple care plan so i don’t have to pay out of pocket for three years if something goes wrong. and for those of you who also have macs, you know how pricy a visit to the mac store can be, even for a small fix. you pay extra for it, but it is well worth it when things get on the fritz. anywho, i don’t intend to ask for assistance without offering something in return.

since this is a role playing community, i am more than willing to offer up graphics!
