she laughs, shaking her head at him. it’s a pointed laugh, sharp, sexy – it was the kind of laugh that she reserved for when she needed to be strong and confident. the kind of laugh that made it seem as though she was laughing at them. and maybe she is. “ well, you’d think so with how pale you are. i think that it’s probably best though, if you were to go out in the sun, you’d probably BLIND whoever was with you.”
but, in all honesty, finnick’s narrowly missed having her skin tinted gold. already tanned from her hours spent outdoors in the sun, her stylists thought it might be best to keep her as is – she was already attractive enough, apparently (you know, once you factored in the figure enhancing surgeries).

the melody that leaves her lips is a simple one. an old song.
