The two lovers lay beside lavender on the dewy spring grass, awaiting the hours pass. The sun beamed just for them; the day went without an air of any despair. It was an ethereal occasion, pondered the young lass. They both never wanted to end this flowery affair. Season's came and left, Summer days as they lept, into rivers more blue but as clear as their love. Together, always, is how they kept. Then, softly, snow from above... It coated their rendezvous field in a thick, icy mass. Nights and days passed as four hands and two hearts grew cold. There was no otherworldly hand to hold. They grew, grew, grew and grew, these two: apart and old. Now sits a new two in their lavender field, as two elsewhere reminisced on how it once could feel. This new pair with sparkling eyes only for each other felt healed... One even thought of the blessed day they would "kneel".... In this field of feel and felt, two lovers lay about.
