When Yoongi calls, sometimes, he doesn’t check the time before he actually does. It’s most likely to happen when he’s somewhere across the world where the time zones don’t correspond but it’s not like it matters.

When he misses you, he misses you.

And the call comes in at three in the morning when you’re reaching out of bed, to the nightstand in the best way possible so you don’t fall off and land on your face. You manage to grab it just as it reaches the third ring and you swipe it with your eyes closed, putting the phone by your ear immediately after that to say a quiet hello?

“B-Baby?” His voice is soft from the other side and almost automatically, you can tell he’s frowning, “I… Is this the wrong time to call? W-What time is it there?”

You make an effort to open one of your eyes, taking a quick peek at the clock that blares 3:21AM before closing it with a soft sigh, “A little over three,”

“E-Evening?”

“Opposite,” You chuckle sheepishly and he mutters a gruff fuck before he clears his throat, “I-I’m so sorry, I—“

“It’s okay, I couldn’t sleep anyway,” You murmur, swallowing thickly after that, your whole body feels numb especially your mouth but you can still feel the grin forming when he scoffs, “Bullshit, you were probably sleeping like a log but you didn’t want me to feel bad,”

“Now that we got that out of the way… wanna tell me what’s wrong?”

He heaves a deep exhale, so close to telling you to get back to sleep, I’ll call another time but when he hasn’t heard your voice in over three days, it does many things to him. He’d be lying to say it wasn’t effecting his stage performance—the usual motto of one hundred and ten percent or nothing, seems to drop.

“I… I just miss you—god—I miss you so much… c-can we facetime?”

Yoongi is never one to be desperate but when he’s thousands of miles apart, it’s inevitable.

Rolling over to your chest, you say the unnecessary, “I probably have drool stains and dirt in my eyes and—“
