it’s a ~ general psa ~ to not abuse the term “microaggression” based on the experience of some folks i know in various rps … for example if you are having a conflict with someone and use pet names to refer to them and they say “hey that feels condescending,” that is not a microaggression towards you

ugh i knowwwwwwww like ok i don't inherently associate magical schools with hp because there are so many universes with schools of magic! but it's so hard to fully separate and idk it has just been so tainted in my heart and mind... this is why adult me knows better than to make a fandom my whole personality but eight-year-old rhia didn't know. she was so young. so naive. but i’ll still cry for those lestranges, and my other fave frank longbottom
that said anon if u wanted to make a magic university rp that is not hp i think people would really love that . we are looking for ways to reclaim the parts that spoke to us and heal without having to support someone literally endorsing violence

hey ya’ll i’m actually beyond sick of seeing the word whore in every corner of the internet. whore is a slur and derogatory term referring to sex workers.
if you’re reclaiming it, this is not about you.
please be mindful how you describe characters (putting them in shirts that say whore still counts) because sex workers can and will see that.
the word does not exist in a vacuum and please start being mindful about how triggering that word is for people who have dealt in sex work such as myself. it is a violent, ugly word that sat on the backs of people like a weight.
people who just want to have fun in fandom spaces are often without reason confronted by that word because people think its funny. it’s not funny.
there’s other words out there, but i would highly advise to think twice about using that word.

i genuinely have no idea and my main assumption is that it's either (1) their own whorephobia, which is very common and one of the least interrogated forms of discrimination (alongside fatphobia and ableism, in my experience) even in progressive circles, or (2) people just don't like me and so feel like they need to insist that my views are false or bad because they're coming from me, which is pretty upsetting but not surprising
not a single real sex worker on earth would give a fuck about someone using the word whore or hoe as long as they’re not being insulted with those terms on the basis of their profession. that’s some chronically online shit probably spread by only fans girls

CWs for whorephobia, violence against women and sex workers, transphobia, and racism throughout these links. these also often contain mentions of nsfw content, of course, given the subject matter.

when you say something people don't like they are prone to retaliating by pointing out everything you've done ! it is what it is. i have fallen victim to this myself. hopefully they too make their blog more accessible
