Where Did I Go?
WELL, it's been quite awhile, hasn't it? About 8 months, to be exact. I had been debating for awhile whether or not to just leave this account to collect dust, or to write one final update regarding my reason for leaving. In the end, I decided it would only be fair to you all to let you know what's been up in my life, as I'm sure you all have been very curious.
Around October, I really started to have a bit of an... identity crisis, I suppose you could call it. I started to question not only myself, but what I was doing. Youtube was not something that interested me anymore, and honestly, it felt as though my connection to Youtubers was holding me back as an artist. Combined with that, I had a lot of confusion regarding my personal identity. I spent weeks brooding over possibilities and doing some much needed self-exploration, until I reached one final conclusion in early November: that I was transgender. Since then, a lot has happened. I ultimately decided it would be best for me to completely disconnect from any social media, as it was something that reminded me of how stuck I was before figuring out my new identity. I stopped using Tumblr, Twitter, and instead dedicated my time to schoolwork and easing into this new realization. I have now been out and living as male for 7 months. Recently, I have gotten my name legally changed, and in three days (June 6th), I will be starting testosterone injections. While I am not interested in this platform anymore, I truly do appreciate everyone I've met along the way and the communities I've been involved in. The gaming side of Youtube is truly its own little world, one that really helped me to grow in my beginning stages as not only an artist, but a person. (I would also like to give a special thanks to Tom, who was a really awesome guy to make thumbnails for and a true supporter of the arts. Sorry I totally disappeared on you!) Obviously, I won't be using this account anymore or anything related to it (i.e. my twitter, youtube, etc.), and for my own privacy, I will not be sharing where I move to next. But rest assured, I will continue to spread my passion through art and do what I love the most. With that, goodbye; I wish you all luck, and a very happy Pride Month! <3
