the worst discovery of my life. when i like someone i become a little clingy on the inside.

maybe i’m just not that good at it.

maybe i’ll never be.

i think my world is too small.

but i have no desire to explore.

maybe i’ll just stay here.

when i close my eyes

i can day dream about a different life.

honestly idk why I even bother getting excited about any romantic prospects anymore 😂 like, girl. it’s time to stop being delusional.

I haven’t been on here in a hot minute! I hope you’re all doing well. I miss this place.

I dreamt that I was at my friend’s wedding. all I can remember is wearing a green dress 🤔

I had such weird dreams last night. I dreamt that my gum was bleeding and I kept touching my tooth. ugh.

did you ever stop running from it?

i imagine you’re still on the move.

your body sharp and ready.

do you ever think about all the hours we spent

sending messages across the divide?

i wonder where all those words went.

i wonder if someone else is using them now.

do you remember us sitting in the stairwell?

do you remember us walking in the rain?

why am i still writing poems about you?

it’s been such a long time.

I have this one student who is just over school. he doesn't care anymore. and it's really hard to motivate him to do stuff. I recently discovered that he watches anime and I was like hmm. so I pulled up the first chapter of one piece and asked him if he wanted to read it with me (he can't read so I would have to read it to him) and he was like eh...no. so I went over to him and started reading it anyway. but when he saw that there were PICTURES. his eyes lit up. and he sat up so fast and he was like "hey! there's luffy!" and I was like "yeah there are pictures in these books. wanna read it?" and he was like "hmm yeah I guess". so I read it with him and I did voices and stuff to make it fun and he was having such a good time. and then the bell rang. and as he was leaving he turned and looked at me and he was like "we'll finish reading it when I get back, right?" and I smiled at him and I was like, "yeah! of course!"

teaching is great sometimes.
