Dreams of The Near Deceased /w Jesse & Kane

"…?!” Amidst his many thoughts, Kane heard somebody yell. Mostly likely at him? Hopefully so. It would be happy to see another person here atleast. Kane turned around, about to greet whoever was yelling. But then he turned around.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-"

That was NOT a human!

”- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-“

Kinda looked like a human but definitely NOT human.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!”

Kane could really run when he was scared.

Jesse ran closer to the man as he groggily turned towards Jesse, eyes widening as he started to run from the boy,

Why? Why was he running? Did he not like Jesse already? But they'd only just met, haven't even shared a word with each other. Jesse slowed his speed by pushing his weight more onto the ground, treading the dirt as it stopped him from running any faster, leisurely making him come to a full stop.

Jesse watched the man run as, loud, screeching sounds emitted from his mouth, he honestly didn't know why he was running, was this guy only a friend pulled from his imagination to make Jesse go more insane? There was somebody here, and Jesse couldn't get to him. He would only keep running, that could be his sole purpose.

Jesse's eyes still rest on the man, so real, so there.

Water started to pool in the boy's eyes.

Last thing he remembered was trying to stop team Aqua from capturing a family of Lapras. Why was he here?

Where is here?

Looking around, it was like he was just somewhere else. A beautiful plains. Atop a hill with a tree. And he was just… laying there.

Was he dead? Was this heaven? Shit.

"…. I wonder if Snow got my present…."

Slowly pulling himself up, the ranger stood and looked around. If he was really dead, wasn’t there suppose to be like… somebody there to greet him into heaven or something like that?

Jesse yawn spastically, moving his arms in a way that ones arms wouldn't normally move when yawning, but the stretching of his limbs as he did it made up for the silly position his body had been in. 

This place was always so boring, literally a hill with one, measly tree and, if Jesse thought hard enough, maybe a place with a little more exploration value to it.

Either way, Jesse turned towards the lonely tree, the place where he'd always gone when he had been getting a little bored of the forever flowing plains of this god forsaken place. The kid looked down, kicking at the dirt as he walked towards the tree, even the thought of climbing the thing had become boring in this place. Where even was he... It was always so, bright and dream esque.

Jesse looked up, sensing that he'd be coming up to the tree very soon. Hunh? A person? Wait... No... A BOY? Wait... There was never anyone here, never ever anyone here. The gravity of the situation dawned on the kid as his mouth formed a grin,

"A human?!" 

Jesse almost yelled, running up to the man.

Koujaku laughs and pats Jesse on the head. "I think you need to get going, kid. It is getting pretty late ya know?"

"Mmm, I guess your right" Jesse smiled as he looked down at his watch,

"Dad's gonna' kill me for being so late but... It was defiantly worth it!"

He smiled,

"Thanks a bunch!" 

Jesse waved behind his back as he ran down the street, night already growing closer,

Today. Was. AWESOME!

"Sure! Why not?" Koujaku watches Jesse as he reached for his cellular device. When he saw Jesse press on the camera app and pose, Koujaku posed along with him in the same position, the peace sign by his right eye.

Jesse grinned as he looked down at the photo, not realizing at the time that Koujaku had mimicked his pose. A laugh escaped his mouth,

"Hahaha, thank you so much, this is amazing, I wouldn't have imagined this dead beat job actually mustering up something memorable"

Jesse explained, rolling his eyes as he moaned, 'dead beat job'.

Koujaku laughs and takes the cardboard  and pen. “Alright! I’ll sign it!” Just like that, Koujaku signed the cardboard and hands it back to Jesse along with his pen. “Anything else there, kid?” Koujaku flashes a cheerful smile.

Jesse bounced a little as he watched Koujaku sign the cardboard, almost grabbing it from his hand after the last scribble. He admired it for a while before looking back up at Koujaku,

"Would you mind a photo?"

Jesse quickly reached for his cell, pulling it out and swiftly clicking the camera app. He pushed himself into Koujaku's side before making a stupid face, his hand hovering - in, not surprisingly, - a peace sign over his right eye.

"Yes! So you know about my group, eh? Not bad, kid." Koujaku winks at Jesse for his approval of his answer. This was Koujaku’s first time meeting someone who knows about Benishigure. It was more of a surprise actually. "You do know that I’m the leader of Benishigure, right?"

"Oh my god, I can't believe I just cried in front of the Koujaku.. I MEAN, I didn't cry haha, uhmm, gosh I- I don't- I- Do you think I could get your autograph?"

Jesse quickly picked up a shredded piece of cardboard and the pen that he was suppose to give to Koujaku to sign a paper, holding it out to him giddily, smile still apparent on his face.

"Well, you have me. I’m your side, kid. I don’t hate people unless they give me a reason to." Koujaku saw Jesse turn towards the street and walk away. Jesse looked back over his shoulder and asked for Koujaku’s name. "The name’s Koujaku! Good to meet ya! If you want to, you can drop by my house sometime whenver you need help or you’re in trouble, okay?"

Jesse's eyes widened as Koujaku stated his name, a smile threatening to form on his previously saddened face,

"Koujaku? The Koujaku?"

Jesse's body posture straightened the more he thought about who the person he'd been talking to was,

"Like, Benisigure Koujaku?!" 

Jesse now had a massive grin, leaning towards the guy with his hands up to his chest, waiting for a response.

"Yeah… To be quite honest, it was funny, but at the same that was just complete bullshit. People shouldn’t do that to you because its wrong. Say, do you have any enemies that hates your gut so much that they would go this far just to do this? If you do, I’ll help you track down the son of a bitch and teach em’ a lesson! So don’t cry, okay Jesse?"

Jesse wiped his eyes quickly, looking up at the man as he talked,

"Hmph, I don't know, everyone in this town is mean. Honestly I feel like everyone hates me,"

Jesse crossed his arms, pouting as he looked down at the gravel, kicking a few stranglers out of the way,

"It doesn't matter either way, I'll just have to ask my dad who asked him to deliver the box,"

Jesse started to turn back toward the street once again before looking behind his shoulder momentarily,

"I never got your name?"

Koujaku chuckles. From his chuckling, he began to laugh hysterically and wheeze and whole lot. “Y-You know— Hahaha! That p- That package didn’t even— Hahahaha!! It didn’t even have anything in there!! Someone was bullshitting you!! It did- It didn’t even an address on there!! It was just- It was just a- CARDBOARD BOX!!” Koujaku clenches his stomach and falls to the floor, kicking his legs in the air while laughing. After five have passed, Koujaku stood up and wiped the tears away from his eyes and walked up to Jesse. “Sorry, kid. That was too funny. Seriously though, someone was bullshitting you. You wasted your time here.” Koujaku sighs and pats Jesse on the head.

Jesse watched as the man laughed to the full extent, falling to floor, getting back up, wiping his tears, the whole spheal. He never really took in the extent of what was happening until after the man had stopped heaving so hard,

"S-Someone tricked me?"

Jesse spoke in a wavering tone as the man affront him patted him flat on the head,

"R-Really?"

Koujaku studies the package cautiously and carefully. Noticing that something was very off, he throws the package into the air. He grabs his sword, launches in the air, and slices the package in bits and pieces. Koujaku lands safely on the ground and thinks to himself. "Are you fucking serious…" Koujaku watches Jesse walk away and that’s what made him think and snap. “Hey, Jesse!”

Jesse jerked a little as the man grabbed the package from his hands, throwing it up in the air. He flinched as 'Mr. I'm So Cool' sliced the package into small pieces affront him. Honestly, he could care less, let's just hope the package wasn't something too important.

Jesse turned with a roll of his eyes, walking leisurely down the road that'd he'd come from,

The boy turned back to the taller man,

"What do you want?"

He said in a sarcastic tone, already having given' up on the conversation.

"A package?" Koujaku was puzzled by the fact that he did not order anything. Wanting answers to his questions, he walked up to the door, unlocked it, and opened it. "Why are you here? I never asked for a package to be delivered, so you might as well just get lost and find someone else to prank."

"Ah?"

"Hey, no need to be so pushy, I never asked to have this job, but here I am, and here is your package, so take it or leave it, bud,"

Jesse's face bunched up at the mans immediately mean demeanor. People around this place need to lighten up.

She blinked, not really expecting she’d won. His face made her giggle a little, before moving closer to him and placed a kiss on his forehead.

"Well, before I ask, I want you to smile. You look a lot better that way."

Jesse looked up at the girl quizzically before shaky words threatened to escape his mouth,

"Ah, that reminded me of my mom haha..." 

He spoke with a weary laugh that was more of a sigh. Moreover, his mouth happened to be turning more into of a frown than a smile,

Jesse turned his head the other way.
